Vista's delight.
Lovely course sat on the moors.
Amazing views.
Course & greens well manicured, greens firm & running true.
Variety of holes, several dog legs & lovely par 3's ( especially the 16th) aptly named" the postage stamp".
Played early so no hold ups, credit to the green staff letting me play on & having a chat with them.
I'd advise using a electric trolley, unless your superfit, it's very steep & undulating on many holes.
Can't comment on the food & drink, but the clubhouse looks lovely from the outside & inviting.
Darwen GC
The course was quiet so there were no hold ups in play. The course and greens were in good condition.
The only negative was having to play off a temporary winter tee mat on the 18th hole due to a new tee bed having been laid although it did look like it was well bedded in and ready for use. Other than that it was an enjoyable round and I would recommend this course to others. It was cheaper to book through GolfNow than directly through the club this was on the advice of the professional
Fantastic course
Amazing course, the greens where in tip top condition. Just one thing, take your electric trolley. Wow the hills are immense, but the views are worth it. Will definitely be back.

An interesting course, well looked after. Could have done with a course layout diagram on the score card.
Fantastic setting
I visited this course on 1st April 22 for the first time
Found the course to be fantastic condition , the staff we spoke with were helpful and informative
The course has some fantasic views esp from the top of the 12th hole ......if you get chance take a few mins to enjoy the 360° views .......will definitely play here again soon
Hidden Gem of course
Friendly Staff who were very informative as we had not played there before. The course was in great on condition for the time of year, each hole was of a different layout and quite testing due to hazards and undulations. Yes there are some steep holes to play up but the rewards are to see some fantastic views.
Lots of staff out maintaining the course in preparation for the season, will return to play again.
Winter golf
Played here Monday 3rd January nice and friendly club.course was playing tough in windy conditions.it is quite hilly but was in very good condition for time of year. Only negative was using mats but was good value for money and will return again in the summer months.
Best in the area.
A real hidden gem in the Lancashire area, course is in amazing condition and it offers an array of challenges, from sloping fairways to blind dog leg approach shots. Prepare your fitness for a breathtaking back 9 in more ways than one! The 16th hole "postage stamp" is a 175 yard huge downhill par 3 with great views of Darwen Tower and the surrounding moors. Shame I topped it into the thick rough.
Best course in the area espically for the price.
100% Reccomend.
Good course
We played today with a hot deal on golf now. Early T off, course was dry and well maintained, the greens were in good nick. The only criticism both myself and playing partner had was being new to the course and not knowing the layout with some of the greens being out of sight a few marker posts on the fairways would of helped. But overall we will play again there and enjoyed our round of golf especially at the hot deal price.
Great test of skills
Played here a few times now and am now contemplating membership. Such a good course with a great mixture of hole difficulties. Some of the views are epic too, so that's always a bonus. In the winter you have to play shots off of a mat, a little peculiar to get used to (might just be me) but the course is kept in great condition as a result. Highly recommended course for all abilities, just make sure you know how to hit shots from crazy gradients (above your feet, below your feet, etc.) as this course is very hilly and undulating.
Darwen Golf Course
The course was in fantastic condition for the time of the year, fairways and first cut nicely maintained, the pro shop provided us with mats which were in use, these have kept the fairways from being damaged. The greens were in great condition.
Overall a great little course with fantastic views, we will definitely visit this course again.
One of the best in the area
Love playing here, it's an interesting and challenging round. Greens were excellent for the time of year. I would highly recommend, especially if you don't mind a few up hill holes. ..
Great surroundings.
Excellent views and the course was in great condition with some very tricky greens, all in all a great round of golf with friendly staff and green keepers.
