Course in great condition despite atrocious weather

I had the opportunity to grab a round in early January. The weather had been really wet, and underfoot the fairways and hollows were all but waterlogged, But I played off the tee boxes, not mats, and the full greens, not winter greens. The reviews talk about how good the groundstaff are at Ealing - and its clear to see the course is in expert hands.

I'd like to return in better weather to gain from the ball running on the fairways, rather than plugging, and getting round with dry feet!

But the fact it's has been so wet, and the course is still playing as it is great credit to the club and staff.

Amazing fairways and glass top greens

It’s a tight course with fairways crossing but definitely challenging. Fairways are really well maintained and greens are super fast. Truly world class greens and it takes a few holes to
Adjust your stroking. Though price is a bit high, worth trying one times

Perfect Greens

Very lush and green course in early Spring. Crowded but good pace of play, so not too bad.

Some quite tricky holes, and none of the par 3s are short. Not a place for a high handicap to reduce his/her score

The greens were like a billiard table, and perhaps a bit too tricky for my level. Where on most courses you might putt a foot passed, at Ealing the ball has carried on and rolled off into the rough.

All in all I enjoyed it

Never again.

Unfortunately the ground staff decided to have some kind of game and followed us around cutting the edges of the greens we were putting on and blowing leaves from near the tee boxes we were off from. This completely ruined the round. The first 3 greens men we asked to stop didn't speak a word of English. I asked the staff in the pro shop 3 times to do something but they were very unhelpful and dismissive. As we were giving up on the 12th hole the head grounds man come to us and apologised and offered us a free round any time which we declined. I've played there many times but never again. A complete waste of £50 each.

Talk about being precious!!

What this pitiful reviewer has failed to inform all of you golfers out there is that bar none Ealing has the best greens probably in the entire London region. Better by far for example than Royal Wimbledon where I play quite a bit.

The head green keeper who offered this snowflake a FREE round is none other than Greg Evans, scratch golfer, and one of the top greenkeepers in the UK!!
