Last minute joy

A Yorkshire Coast gem. The course is set with a spectacular backdrop of Filey bay. Some of the holes were challenging with narrow T-offs and other holes with blind greens. Lots to think about. Fairways and greens were immaculate which was impressive considering the time of year. Drainage must be a headache for the green keepers but considering the recent rainfall we could forgive the occasional soggy patch. We will definitely be coming back (if only to try and find some of our balls!)

Great to get out and enjoy the views

I have said it was the first time I have played Filey GC but I did play it over 25 years ago so I thought that was fair enough.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. One way directions round the clubhouse and hand sanitizers everywhere so felt comfortably covid protected.
The course was a little damp but overall in very good condition and obviously well looked after. A few excellent holes and some great views.

Nice course.

A really nice little course, I would describe it as a thinking man’s/women’s course. It’s not a long course but position off the tee is key.
Is in great condition, greens run very true.
Lovely views on 17 & 18 holes.
Would highly recommend playing here, looking forward to playing here again soon.

Review of Filey GC

My wife and I booked online and really enjoyed our round at Filey. We found the course itself very scenic and well looked after. The greens ere in good nick as were the wide forgiving fairways. I can imagine the course would be far more challenging in windy conditions and we were very fortunate to play in still, warm weather. Chatted to ground staff on the way round who were informative and friendly as were the staff in the clubhouse. All in all a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend Filey unreservedly.

Quickly booked round

Warm friendly & very welcoming. On arriving at course went to club shop to say I was there. Asked who I was due to play with & was told who. Now I’m not going to say this will happen to everyone but was told if I fancied getting off & playing by myself that I was welcome to do that as there was nobody going out for at least 1/2hr. Whilst out on course, the members that I came across where extremely welcoming. The course was in a great condition for time of year (23rd Oct)
Looking at trying to get back in early summer

I gave it top rating for everything.
The second time my wife and I have played it.
The first time being last year on a windy rainy day.
It was still excellent. All the staff an members were very friendly, especially the Professional.
