Greenway Hall Golf Club

Played this course a few times now but this was my least favorite round here, a comment shared by all my fellow four ball players. The layout just doesn't provide flow as you are constantly waiting for other golfers to tee off or play fairway shots due to the high amount of shared holes. With this round in particular we were incessantly covering up to shouts of "fore" and it felt as if we might be safer wearing helmets. The review title captured the mood as a comment was made about the affinity with ducking in trenches as the shells came down. The round took 4.5 hours to complete as we had to let 2 and 1 ball players through. Coupled with poor form on the day from all of us it just wasn't an enjoyable round - sorry.

Played golf there today and got there 1 minute late. The older man receptionist was extremely rude. He told me to hurry up and get out there. Was very miserable and snappy. He charged me £3.50 for a trolley yet day before a lady receptionist told me it was only £2.50. He said the shorts my friend was wearing were wrong even though they were plain grey. Leaving reception area a man who could have been a member told me to watch where I was going very rudely throwing his hands in the air. On the first tee I told a man about someone being rude and he horribly told me hed been a member 2 years and never had a problem then slagged me off to his friends. 3 people very rude in the space of 5 minutes. Course was ok apart from some tees overlooking over peoples greens and fairways. Overall a very unwelcoming golf club. Do not reccomend.

Course is in excellent condition. Was a refreshing change to have a game golf and not have to wait on every shot

Using the golf now app is so easy, the red hot deals function takes you straight to the best prices. This is my local club, £11 for a round of 18 bholes bargain, the course is playing tough at the moment, a real challenge. But in really good condition.

Played course today course in excellent condition no slow play at all only criticism would be having to play across ajoining fairways but having played course before not a major problem more so when course is quiet, cost today was£10 excellent value shall definitely be going again. Score 83 no handicap

26 gbp wasted golf now not liked at club tried to fit us in with another 2 ball 1 of them was late this meant we were late. We booked that time.for a reason.
Car park so busy I nearly got taken out by an idiot driver.
Way too busy and satff totally negative about gf now and not helpful at all.
We were told not to use them and book direct.
So we will app deleted 26gbp gone

With all the money spent on the Driving Range, you think they would sort the course out. In all the years I have played here the greens are shocking. They are really the fairway with a flag on them. You constantly are held up with holes crossing one another. The staff are miserable & unhelpful to say the least. The amount of times I have been to the Driving Range & they can hardly muster a hello or goodbye!

It is some 15 year's since I last played here and I remember enjoying it then even though many of my society friends labelled it a little rough around the edges and mickey mouse.
Well if you want a course which hasn't stood still or gone backwards then this is the one.
Whilst there are still some cross over areas you are no longer playing on the same Fairway as others coming from the opposite direction.
The fairways are now excellent and as good as any other good course with very true and firm moorland greens again in very good condition.
Whilst the card appears simple what does still remain the case is some very challenging tee shots where slope can hurt you if you are slightly wayward or thought it was just a big drive down the middle without thinking.
A good covid welcome was given and the new driving range looks the best in this area at last well done.
I will be returning very soon and very often I feel as excellent value and challenge.

The course on a whole is fantastic, lovely well kept greens, some beautiful tee locations and a mixture of easier holes and tougher hole. Would highly recommend and you definitely can’t grumble at the price.

Car park packed nearly got myself and trolley run over
Reception maintained we were to with 2 others didn't agree and they also stated one of them couldn't be found
We arranged a 2 ball it was so busy they said we could book 2 hours later
Lost 26gbp no refund and can't contact golf now either complete disaster deleting app and never going to Greenway.
Poor all round

Course was in great condition, members very help as we got lost a couple of times but were put back on track. It’s a tough walk so not for the faint hearted but buggy’s are available. Only real problem or thing to be aware of is some fairways cross so you have to be mind full of other golfers. All in all really enjoyable afternoon of golf in beautiful surroundings, which we be back to enjoy agin thanks to everyone

Awful golf course! How nobody has died on here is a mystery! Holes are far to close together! Greens, if you can call them that were in a disgraceful state! Play here at your own risk!

No temporary greens at this time of year is a credit to the club and the value was tremendous

Fully enjoyed playing at green way today and it was very booking with tee off times, would definitely recommend the course to all my friends

This is great test the last par 3 is a beauty I really enjoy the course and bar area afterwards. There’s e lovely restaurant next door also
