Friendly members welcome
Nice course and very friendly members
Tough walk as quite a few hills
Hot Deal
Very enjoyable round
Course in good condition generally a couple of temp tees and some bunkers require attention
Arrived early for tee time and was told can go off when ready
As first tee was busy started in the 10th
Got round in just over 3 hours.
Course interesting despite not being the longest requires placement off the tees .
Greens in good condition
A good round in mid winter
Had never played course before, but it was a very pleasant surprise. The course was in excellent condition for late December with greens that looked immaculate. Certainly not a long course with a number of par 4s under 300 yds but ideal for a competitive game with family after Xmas. Layout interesting and good views. I will return.
Great greens for the time of the year
Although the fairways were scorched and really dry the greens were outstanding. Would be nicer to have directional markers for the next hole. Worth a second visit when the weather cools and the fairways are greener.
Excellent
It’s the first time we’ve played at course and we both found it really great. The general course layout is good and liked that we tee’d off from the 13th. Par 3s are nice and varied.
Great welcome, exceptional greens.
A fantastic welcome at the Pro Shop kicked off a very enjoyable round. The course is by no means long but it is very tight in places and the greens are exceptional; a proper challenge. Can’t wait to go back.
Stuffy
Really enjoyed the course but members we met seemed a bit stuffy, didn’t really want non members there
Lovely little course
I really like this course. It is relatively compact but very interesting using a range of sticks off the tee. Some of the holes will trip you up if you try to go long so some hole planning is required.
Course is in terrific condition and highly recommended
Not sure why I've not played here before?
Not played for a while, so thought I'd try somewhere new. Such a pleasant surprise, great course good layout will def play here again.
Short, undulating, pretty and quite tricky
Not long but well bunkered with large and usually sloping greens. In pretty good condition with some attractive holes. The pro and clubhouse staff were welcoming. A nice sausage sandwich and cup of tea were only £4.
Tricky greens. Nice course.
Greens are tricky as rarely flat. Good varied course that is well maintained. Will definitely play again.
Not so Grim...
I've played the course many times and it's always been an enjoyable experience - a classic Home Counties parkland layout with some excellent holes. Recommended.
Nice course but not long in distance
First time at the course was well maintained. The speed of play was very slow we had to wait on most holes. Also the bunkers had lots of stones in them so you could damage a club.
The course is fairly short in distance and some holes are very close together.
It was horrible. When we got there we were told only 9 holes were open
