Misleading

Described as a 18 hole course on Golfnow but this is actually a 9 hole course with double tees.
The course is flat and a good challenge. Sadly a Four ball was ahead of us (2 players) who’s pace of play was very slow. If they had any sense they should of let us play through but this did not happen.

Great value and great condition

Me and a mate played for £8 each, 18 holes which is great value. This is a 9 hole course. This time of year you expect it to be boggy but it was quite dry, think its the undersoil conditions which help with drainage.

All holes and greens were in play. Club pro was friendly and said fairway mats everywhere in the course, and was nice enough to let us borrow a couple for free.

For a mid handicapper like me it's a decent challenge and I certainly enjoyed it. Some great views on a couple holes too. Some of the greens were icy due to the temperature, there's nothing the club can do to stop that. Made for some interesting putts.

All in all, a good day of golf. This will probably be my winter course of choice with how dry it has stayed.

£9 is great value

Played today with a mate on a deal of £9 for 16 holes. The 1st and 10th hole (same hole as 9 hole course) were closed due to recent bad weather but that's to be expected at this time of year. The course was in good condition overall. The course benefits from being high up on the side of a valley so has good drainage. The fairways and greens were in good condition as a result. Didn't even need to use fairway mats, winter tees were in play as expected. Their was the usual muddy spots but still fine overall.

The 9 hole layout is pretty good and flows nicely from hole to hole. Theirs a good mixture of holes too, doglegs left and right, straight holes and short and long par 3's. Overall i enjoyed it and it ear great value, some nice views across the valley too.

Ok to play occasionally

Nice enough course in good condition. There is no map of the course on the score card and no hole direction markers, this makes it easy to not find the next hole. A bit frustrating really, as you can wander around trying to find someone to ask or just get completely lost. As with all 9 hole courses it could get a bit boring playing the same 9 holes over and over again, even if some of the holes have different tee positions. Ok to play one or twice a year if you are a visitor.

Nice litlle 9 holder and go round twice, well looked after greens and fairways, could do with a layout of all holes on scorecard bit confusing where the next hole was if you Havnt played here before. All in all nice course would come back.

About Par

9 hole golf course which can be played as 18. Three of the holes on the back 9 have different tee boxes. The greens were in good condition (June 2020) - receptive and rolled well.
There are quite a few blind shots to fairways and greens which is not something I’m fond of. Signage around the course could do with being improved for hole locations etc. A map of the hole layout on the score card would be useful for visitors not knowing the course. Okay overall. Would play agin but in no immediate rush to return.

Excellent course was in brilliant condition considering time of year. The only problem was we played on a Wednesday morning and got stuck quite a lot on the back nine behind a large visiting party. Would definitely play again but I would avoid Wednesday morning. Friendly pro who made us feel very welcome, recommend to anyone excellent golf course.

Second visit to this course, 2 different tees are used on the second 9. Making a reachable par 5 into a hard 440 yard par 4 & extending the last hole to 590 yard. This course is well worth a visit.

This course has a variety of holes, to test your skill!
A 247 yard par 3 over a ravine or an easier longer route. A monster par 5 to finish. It was in very good condition, and did not have any duplicate holes. We will play this course again.
