I found pro was great let me on the course
straight away + the course was a bit wet but
this was not a problem . Long par-4 and par 5
Very old course but great this is what I like.
Will play again in summer due to the great
staff that I met. The young pro was great and
as got full golf stuff
reasonable challenge
greens mostly heavily sanded but true, fairways in very good condition given the heat, course playing short with the hard surface, some very slow players but able to play through
course very poor ..boggy an greens in poor condition
played the course on Saturday.my 1st time but regretfully the course albeit scenic in places was very boggy an the majority of greens were in poor condition .
Average
Not a bad course but not competitive enough value for money. I usually play different courses in and around London and normally don't pay more that £30 as I play every week. I payed a little extra to play Hendon as I thought it would be superior to the others but it turns out it was average. The course was in good condition and was tricky around the greens as they were well protected by bunkers. I would play it again but would not pay more than £25 for an afternoon t time.
Excellent!
All round excellent including location, facilities and course. Will recommend and might play soon.
Challenging and rewarding
Mix of all sort of freatures one might want to avoid but can recover from. Impressed by the quality greens.
Good challenge, handsome course
Very pretty front nine with some challenging holes. Better than most parkland courses around North London Hendon is well worth the visit. Very good amenities, friendly staff
Early tee off @ Hendon
Peaceful golf course and good traffic flow. Friendly course workers . The green are beautiful and managed not to experience the bunkers!
Plan to play it more and more
Great course
I happen to live next to this course but would travel a fair distance to play here. It's kept in fabulous condition it's a real credit to the green keepers. High praise especially for the consistency of the greens. I was started on the tenth tee and just made in front of a four ball at the turn! This meant I got around in less than 3.5 hours. Great course.
Awesome tees and greens
One of the best courses I have played so far. The course is an amazing condition. Fairways and greens well maintained. Interesting holes and a few bunkers to contend with. Would definitely come back and strongly recommend
Very good value for money at a friendly course. Greens in excellent condition.
Hendon golf club
Course in excellent condition, greens very good
Isn't the longest course but tricky holes with hazards and bunkers making you think about each shot
Tee time issues and very slow play
Even with a tee time it is a matter of queuing on the first tee to set off. I suspect the members just show up and go and it can be an uncomfortable rugby scrum.
Have played this course a few times a year and each time state that, "It will be my last!" Recently behind a 3 ball who were not golfers. The group behind us regularly hitting into us. No marshals and no help to hand.
It is a pity because the course is a nice one but when it is heavily used the rounds will almost certainly be frustrating.
