Great course, fair test.

First time playing, booked online (Sorry but half the price). Course in good condition, excellent greens. Tees a little bare but expected considering the dry spring and summer.
Layout a little bit of a maze and some long walks between holes.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Great Value for money

Played the academy course which was longer than I had envisaged. This is no par 3 course. Conditions were good but it clearly doesn’t get the attention of the main course but then you’re not paying the same money. Interesting holes, plenty of water and a lot of tough rough. Bring a few balls.

Staff in the clubhouse and American Golf were super friendly and very helpful. Groundstaff as mentioned elsewhere less so. Pretty reckless on the buggies on blind bends. Had to literally jump out of the way. No apology or even acknowledgement. Only downside to a great morning.

Great round in hot conditions

Played on Thursday 28th June tee off 8am, went straight round with no slow play as the course was quiet however it was really busy when we finished, the greens are in fantastic shape better than any other course I have played this month including Royal Birkdale, dried out in lots of places but the run in the fairways helped someone of my handicap, very friendly in the shop and the bar after and will definitely return again

First time at high legh

A lovely setting for a well laid out course in really good condition despite prolonged dry weather. Would definitely return to play again.

This course is well worth a visit

The course was very well set up and there is very little long grass that comes into play, however there is an abundance of water hazards which require careful consideration. The greens were quick with many subtle borrows which require the golfers attention.

Excellent Course

Impressive site with a huge carpark, club house and driving range bays.

Course was equally impressive and well maintained with a good variety of holes. Challenging Par 3 on the back 9 with a water hard in front of it. Bring some spare balls!

Highly recommended

The course is testing for high handicap golfers.

A course that is laid out well with plenty of variation on the holes. We are high handicap golfers but enjoyed the course, found the greens tricky and a little bumpy, maybe it was because it was a Sunday when we played and they hadn't been cut? Overall a nice golf course.

Autumn four ball

Played the course with six friends and found the layout very enjoyable with a good mix of holes. Greens were in good condition but the fairways and walkways to the next tee were very wet. Off course facilities are excellent. Staff were very friendly and I will definitely play again but will wait for the summer.

Worth a visit

OK, let's try to keep this simple! The course is good, tidy and perfect for a days golf. If you want 'great', 'challenging', 'beautiful' etc then you're at the wrong place. If this was a car, it would be a Ford.

Too busy

I or my friend book High Legh through Tee Off Times almost weekly. However, we have recently had to joint others to make up a four ball and this week (12 July) the course was so heavily booked with a North Manchester Golf Comp and a Society booking that it was impossible to play more than 9 holes. From hole 10 there was a 1 0 minute wait on every hole and we walked off - ridiculous and probably won't book again. Why give Tee Off Times booking times If the course is fully booked. Second time in a week this has happened - last week same at Mottram Hall - not value for money if can't play courses.

Superb condition and fairways excellent to hit from

I used this course to play my first eighteen holes of golf following a heart condition which had previously prevented me from playing. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were a joy to putt on.
