wont play here friday morning again
was booked to play at 11 40 however, there were 5 fourballs on the first tee at that time & we had to walk to 11th to start! consequentially we only managed 15 holes very disappointed with the discourteousness of these members not letting us go on time!!
Excellent day
We were looking forward to playing this course for the first time but the weather was raining as we teed off. However the weather didn't make the course unplayable and with all the rain we have had the course was still in very good condition. The fairways from the tee were narrow and didn't allow for stray shots. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition and despite the rain we had an excellent round definitely play again.
Sheffield's hidden gem.
Played golf in Sheffield for the last 20 years but never played Hillsboro . I'm a member at Dore and Totley, and my pal's a member at Lees Hall, we were one apiece and needed somewhere for a decider. So there we were on a beautiful September afternoon at said course.
In short, it was superb, played a bit like a Scottish course , with the shortish ,tricky par 4's(apart from the first which is monster !, tough but fair par 3's and some great par 5's that needed a bit of thought. There Was plenty of heather, also ,for that Scottish touch.
To summarise , a fantastic course that you should give a try. I'll be back!
