Always in great condition
Played this course a few times and it’s always in great condition
Staff and members very friendly
Course is flat great for us wrinkleys
Would absolutely recommend this course
Great condition
Shorter than average course but different holes and in great condition. Always enjoy a round here. Recommended.
Great condition
Nice relaxed round on a sunny day with very few on the course, no one in front or behind. Course in lovely condition, no boggy areas despite heavy rain over the previous week. Greens good, good variety of holes, friendly staff and members, highly recommended.
First time played and not disappointed. Course was in brilliant condition and loved that a driver was not always needed on more then half of the holes. Greens were some of the best I’ve seen and with rain the night before stopped them from flying past the hole at lighting speed. Fairways were perfect and rough was not excessive. Only negatives of the day were that a two ball clearly jumped in front and slowed the game down for the first 9 and some of the holes felt bunched together so found we had a fair few balls flying past our heads from other groups. Other then that would recommend this course to all levels. We will be coming back.
Decent Little Knock
Good little course kept you thinking although not the longest. Played this for £15 on a weekend, very good value. Shame the clubhouse was closed when finished (6pm) as could have murdered a pint!
Superb
First time here and won’t be the last. Conditions and layout good. A little short but suited us fine. Little disappointed we couldn’t seem to get a drink afterwards. Will definitely be back
a golfers paradise
This has to be one of the best courses
for all golfers.
The greens brilliant.
fairways brilliant.
layout likewise.
Plenty of ballwashes and bins.
excellent practice facilities too.
Overall a marvellous place to play
the game.
Little Gem
Smashing course in good condition for the time of year
Not overly long but you need to put the ball in the right place
Something for everyone and the greens are pretty true if not overly fast
Played it last summer when it was really dry and the greens were scary fast
Well worth the effort to play and good value
Great mornings golfing
Very nice course with numerous interesting and challenging holes. Greens were excellent and the staff in the pro shop and bar were fantastic.
Definiately return soon.
Lovely course
We used Teeofftimes a day begore to get an opportunity to play golf. Marple golfcourse popped up! We played there once before and kept good memories of the course. We were not disappointed. The course is still lovely and the members of the club are sincerely friendly. The fairways and greens were unfortunately wet, but we still had a nice game.
Sunny October round
Shortish course, only one par 5 but interesting layout. Lost a couple of balls due to leaf fall, expected this time of year, but fortunate to get a mostly sunny round. The course is well kept and the greens were good, friendly staff and members, and good food later.
Beautiful Cheshire Course on a sunny day.
Comfortable course for the middle to high handicapper. Fairly short but in great condition.
Maple golf great course
Great day at Marple golf course challenging course great greens love playing this golf club
Great course
Course in excellent condition, greens great, staff and members very friendly
We are all in our late 60s early 70s and it was an easy course to walk with many interesting and testing holes
Played it a few times now at different times of the year and it is always well looked after
All in all a great course
Good long course
Good course with challenging greens enjoyed the day but weather waterlogged some of the greens
Small course, but tough challenge
Although the course is relatively short in length, it's still a tough challenge to all levels of golfer. There isn't a single hole that resembles another, and each overall offers you a new chance to use your full bag. There are some risk and reward holes, such as the short par 4's, 5 &8. The par 3 15th which measures 228 yards (Lay up, or go for it). The 16th which you can drive onto the fairway, but risk hitting into tree's. And lastly the challenging the par five 18th which is pretty much uphill all the way, making the 515 yards play a lot longer.
All together with some beautiful scenery over Manchester, it's a fun, yet true test for anyone's golf. And don't forget to take a drink afterwards in the comfortable 19th.
Marple
Great course in very good condition
Staff very friendly and everyone accomadating
Course offers something for everyone some tricky short par 4's you need to think your way round as driver is not always the best option
Interesting course in good condition with friendly staff
I last played this course about 14 years ago when I was a member. The staff and other members were very friendly and helpful. The tees fairways and greens were in great condition and very tidy. There had been a few minor changes in layout but it was still a good challenge with all the holes being different. The gulley and gamble were my favourite holes and the par 5 18th was a long uphill trek at the end of a 4 hr round in hot sunny conditions on the hottest day of the year. Will certainly return here later in the year.
