No open course
Would definitely play here again beautiful views some nice dog legs and tricky bunkers but overall a good wide course for a beginner
A lovely course
On the first Wednesday of the month, we play at an "away" course; I've looked at this for a while, and the tee times available fit perfectly.
Checked in at the pro shop - very helpful when I told them we had never played here before.
Off to the 1st, where a four-ball was waiting, they kindly let us play ahead of them.
It is a round of two 9's as it's like two courses have been placed next to each other.
That didn't detract from the entertainment and got around in just 3h 25m.
The clubhouse veranda is right in front of the 8th green...
Great find
Played an absolutely awful gold course the previous day, Bird Song Golf Course. The fairways were like a farmers field, the greens were poor with divot after divot. This course however was amazing. The fairways were as good as I could have hoped for. The greens were uninspiring but smooth and fair. The rough is very forgiving. I was a one ball first off at 7am and saw no one until the 10th tee. Blissful. I’ll be back!
Good test
Not the longest of courses but keeps you thinking in places very enjoyable an d good views from some holes
Pace of play and winter golf
Slow, slow play. Bunched up fields are solely down to starters accepting 1, 2 and 3 balls that want to play alone. Full field but low numbers. It is insane and it does not help the price for online bookings is high only to find make shift tee boxes and pin next to the green at most if not all the holes. Skip winter golf here and ignore in full unless players and starters realise , bromances is not always the way of play.
A Good golf club
We started off with a very good full English breakfast in the clubhouse and originally it use to be only a 9 hole course and now only in the last year or so its an 18 hole course with the new 9 holes has a links style to it and good character on the old 9 holes with a super finish on the 18th and heart breaking to find out that horrible greedy builders are going to build houses on the whole golf course and what a disgusting thing to happen to a wonderful golf club and its members and we be a huge loss all for the greed of money , so come and play a round of golf before it's gone forever !
Great winter condition
Course is in fantastic condition considering the time of year. The greens were excellent and pretty quick, which is surprising for winter. Unfortunately, as is the case with too many courses, the pace of play could be better, but at least thet did let faster players through, eventually.
Overall though, a very enjoyable round for the first round of the year.
Great course!
Course in great condition, very good value, terribly slow play on back nine...
Nice course, shame about the pace of play.
The weather was lovely, the course was in excellent condition and it was my first time playing at Mount Pleasant. For the first few holes it was great, but yet again the plague of inconsiderate slow players raised its head. It is such a pity that so little is done to eradicate this from golf courses everywhere.
Anyway, rant over, the course was very nice, well presented and the greens in particular in excellent condition.
I would definitely recommend the course.
