Yeah, it's alright
One of the few places I could get a round in at midday sunday without having to spend over £40. I've played before, and it was about the same as this time. The course is just a bit tatty and rough in several areas.
Some greens are great, others not, the same goes for around the green and some tee boxes. In part this could be due to how many people have taken up golf this year and have no respect for a course (fixing ball divots, replacing fairway divots, LEAVING BEER BOTTLES ON BENCHES). Also, it's in part because there's not tons being re invested into the course. Like why are the winter tee boxes still there? That shouldn't be permanent. Anyways, it's better than Thames Ditton and Esher which is laughable.
So as an overall feel about the course, I shot alright, left a few out there, but the course is open and forgiving, not difficult imo. Definitely not a 4 star course., 3.2 at best. It was a fun day though, but golf it always fun.
Great conditions
Despite being the end of summer, the course is in a great condition. Greens are great, fairways are fine. Great value for money
Beautiful course
Played it the first time today and found the course condition absolutely beautiful.. pace of play is good and there is no one pushing me from behind and those in front of me were also pacing nicely. Very tricky greens but they roll very true. Nice test of your putting skills.
Cheap and cheerful
When arrived at car park first impression wasn't great, but I really enjoyed a midweek practice round at this very friendly and well-maintained course.. Overall it is on the short side but there are still plenty of opportunities to get the driver out. Several sloping greens posed a decent challenge and were all in good nick. Pace of play was good. Not spectacular but decent value for £22. Stabbed a few of the tee but managed to scramble 36 points with a couple of chip ins.
Underwhelming
Far too many golfers, at one point I saw 4 groups on one hole. Lack of marshalling on a poorly maintained course. Gave up on 16, too frustrating having been 4.5 hours at that point. Much better alternatives in area.
Excellent, welcoming course
Excellent course, incredibly well looked after. Despite the weather, the greens were still surprisingly fast and looked beautiful. Everyone out was so friendly invited me to play through as I was playing alone and getting on pretty fast. Will definitely be back with my usual group next time
Tricky course but not too difficult
This is a fantastic course and I believe every golfer will enjoy it, there are golf buggies restaurants, club shop and driving range. The course is tricky but not too difficult the only drawback I find is seems to be very busy so you may have to book well in advance.
