First Time Playing

No organisation

We were put on holes 19/27 and 1/9 the distance between some tee boxes after greens were ridiculous, then when you had to play 1/9 you had to walk half a mile to tee box and a cue as they were too interested in taking bank hol money

What did they spend all that money on

Greens in poor condition, bunkers virtually mud, was probably kept better when it belonged to Leeds council

Well,

I booked my tee time, so on arrival I was informed that I shouldn't of been able to book a tee time as there was a competition on, but as there was just me on my own then I could go out and do the back nine first if no one was coming down the 9th hole, was nearly hit on the 3rd green by a tee shot from the 18th, the guy in the pro shop was a bit off, but at least the course was good an I was let through a few times but it was a long 18 holes

very disappointed
we were charged for 3 x additional rounds after already paying on line. Girl on desk advised we had only paid for the £3.00 on line fee - even after presenting my receipt !!
Played holes 10-18 then a further 9 on the 19-27 because busy !
Hopefully refunded without an apology

Oulton Hall

Got the chance to play last Sunday afternoon, weather was perfect. Although course not very busy 4 ball in front of the single golfer in front of me were getting value for money as such I ended up joining up with the single golfer in front by the 4th hole of play. There we were until the 18th, stuck behind them. We even ended up as a 3 ball by the 10th when another single player joined in with us to make up a threesome.
Despite this we enjoyed our game.

Wet weather

A bit tedious

a shame really, as the setting for the course is quite nice, its in reasonable condition and the staff are professional and friendly.

The problem is the course is boring to play - too many straight par 4s. or straight par 3's that are only difficult because of their length.

Messed up Tee Time

When we arrived at the course the Pro had a different Tee time to the one we had booked, when we arrived at the first tee there was 15 players waiting to tee off. One of them advised us to go play the 9 hole course then come back and play the front 9, due to the time and the possibility of not finishing this is what we did and the 9 hole course was in poor to average condition, the greens are patchy and slow and if you're not on the fairway hit another ball as the rough is more punishing than the open and we lost every ball that went in it. All in all very dissapointed.
