Water
I took my friend for the 1st time but didn't tell him about the amount of water, which makes you think a bit more. Course played well with excellent greens shame about the bar staff serving members and ignoring guests waiting....So went elsewhere for a cold one. Overall v.good though
Bring some balls
2nd time playing course. Forgot quite how much water in play which makes for a fun but thoughtful round. Greens excellent and not a soul in sight so got round in 3hrs.
Very poor fairways disappointing!
This could be a very good course. Ok it is march however for a members Course I am very disappointed at the state of 12 of 18 holes! Investment needs to be made on drainage and fairways for this course to feel special which it could be. Some great holes to play and certainly will be great in our summer when it arrives so okay this one between May and September unless they fix fairways and very muddy paths. Shame.
Take lots of balls!
I haven't played this course for a few years and had forgotten how much mater there was on it, coming into play on around 14 holes. The par fives should all be played as 3 shots to the green and a wood is not required off the tee, more plotting your approach until the green. There a re a lot of ditches which catch out short/long shots and was extremely testing in the high winds which we encountered. A look at the scorecard suggest a lot of short par fours but do not let this fool you! A very enjoyable round and great condition in February
Thinking golf.
This course has a great layout. Several of the par 4s are short, and playing off the yellows, it was important to play for position for the second shot. The greens were in good condition, the ball rolling nicely. Large greens left some very long putts! Plenty of water to avoid, and plenty of wildlife to distract you. A few bunkers were flooded or bare. I look forward to playing the course in summer conditions.
Great course
One of the best courses I have ever played on, layout is great, really makes u think, greens are in amazing condition, the course is very well maintained, staff very friendly, overall a very good golf course.
Great Layout Course
Very enjoyable with lots of challenging water holes. Back nine more difficult than the front none, particularly 10 & 11. Would go back again with friends
Water everywhere
Beautiful setting, stunning grounds, water comes into play throughout but this is the charm of this course
