Superb condition great reception
This is the second time we have played here. The course is in fantastic condition and the speed of play for us was really good. The services around the clubhouse was really friendly and helpful. Will be back
Cracking course
In great condition considering the constant battering of rain it has taken over the last few weeks. Superb greens and bunkers that allowed us to play like big Phil M. A gorgeous Bacon and chicken baguette rounded off the day nicely. Can't wait to return.
Attractive parkland course
I have played this course twice, and the course seems to get progressively trickier and prettier, at least for me! The relatively flat course and the greens, were in good condition for this time of year (recently sanded and scarified). As you get round the course water can be a factor with a careless shot so accuracy is much more important than distance. I enjoyed it.
My main issue in rating the course was the pace of play Inexperienced golfers, who tend to be slow by definition, are attracted to this course that is above their ability but it is priced at the lower end of private member clubs. The tee times are optimistically separated in 8 minute gaps (great for scratch golfers!) rather than 11-12 minutes periods suggested on scorecards for 2 balls or 13-14 minutes for 4 balls. The management should review this as it took nearly 4 hours to get round, as there were 4 or 5 groups of players ahead that I could see and no willingness to allow players through. Fortunately, it was a sunny day.
As the club has just restarted it would be unfair to rate the facilities but the terrace in Spring sunshine by the 9th green is a pleasant place to have a cup of tea or a beer.
Slow slow slow
Played as a 2 ball, on the front nine let though 2/3 times done in 1.3 hours back nine was a joke, behind 3 ball and would not let us through even when on same tee together, walked off after took over 2 hours for 4 holes.....................beware do not play unless you have hours and hours and hours to waste
Slow paced round
Shocking pace to get around. Overbooked course which did not make the experience a very good one.
Great twilight golf
Lovey course and in great condition and newly refurbished driving range.
Really good bargain for twilight golf.
Average standard course
Course has quite alot of road noise and greens are a bit bumpy. Course requires more features. Friendly staff and nice patio / half way house.
Interesting course in good condition
Nice little course which requires thought on the way round. Other players seemed friendly. Greens and course in general in good condition for this time of year.
