Excellent condition

Played a few courses since lockdown and the courses which kept some staff on are reaping the rewards. This was the best condition I have ever seen the course in. Reasonably priced, good pace of play and a good test. Will definitely play here again.

Beautiful

Stunning course , beautiful views. Course layout was fantastic with some epic par 3s long and short. Fairways and green was on point. Amazing Value for for money and would have paid a lot more to play there.
I will be returning soon .

Belting Course

Played Runcorn 2-3 times this season so far and I can honestly say the greens are as good as any I’ve played on this year. Fairways are also superb and well manicured.........

The whole course is well kept and organised

Decent

Nice flat course that is a challenge for all golfers. Had a little issue with the pro shop not being open before our tee time which meant Going into the office of the club house to be given a score card. Other then that staff very friendly and also members we saw on the course. Green we’re in very good condition however fairway was a little long. Couldn’t work out how the 17th hole was not at least an index 2 however all in all a very good course.

We will be coming back.

Runcorn

First time we’ve played this course but definitely won’t be the last
Very good layout flat but not featureless
Something for everyone but key to scoring is hit the ball straight
The greens were in good condition with plenty of subtle borrows to fool you
Friendly staff and all in all good value for money well worth a visit

Very Enjoyable

First time at this course. Thought the course played excellently and the greens were very demanding. Very quick and every putt had to be thought about. Perfect condition especially the greens. Loved the course. Only downside was that the 1st and 5th holes had totally different tee areas in midweek compared to weekend and the weekend tee areas made these holes so much better. Except for that it was a perfect day. Will be back very soon

Beautiful course!

We played this course for the first time on 2nd July and have happily played it twice since. It is a beautiful course and if we are ever in this neck of the woods again, it will be our first choice of courses to play. The weather had been scorching hot for a number of weeks so that made playing conditions challenging, but the greens had been well kept and lush. Everybody at the club were so lovely and friendly. One particular lady was particularly lovely and helpful and we had the good luck to see her again on one of our later visits. The professional, Tom, is an absolutely lovely man and is an asset to any club. He went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our visit and couldn't do enough. The clubhouse is lovely, clean. The bar staff are very friendly and the food is great! Brilliant portions for a VERY reasonable price. The only down side I would warn anybody about is...one of our follow up games was on a Friday morning. There is a group of elderly gentlemen that play a fourball every Friday morning. They are lovely gentlemen but they will not let you play through. They are extremely slow!! If you are in a hurry or can't stand slow play, avoid Friday mornings and afternoons. (Yes, they are THAT slow, it drags well into the afternoon)

Well maintained

Runcorn is a pleasant course, fairly wide fairways, most tree-lined. A few ditches to watch out for. Bunkers not too difficult. I enjoyed playing the course

Good course for the money

Cheap round on teeofftimes, only £11 for 11:50 tee off. Maybe wouldn't pay full price of £30 though.

Pace can be slow sometimes depending on what comp has been on in the morning, although layout of holes means can possibly skip ahead and play course out of order.

Had new distance markers put in, 200 / 150 / 100yds all very visible from anywhere - great improvement. Also astro turf / stones have been put down on paths between holes ready for winter. Looked like winter tees also being worked on.

Most greens in good condition, although the par5 in the far corner was very patchy and bare, esp considering the par3 green 40 yards away was much better. Some fairways looking a bit bare, although still able to take a reasonable divot with irons.

Not used any facilities so can't comment. Will definitely be back
