Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club - Crown Course

With a bit of love on the maintenance side of Things this course has a lot of positives but unfortunately the grass was very long sometimes in places hard to work out fairways to roughs and overgrown trees made it a difficult play! But saying that the course design was fun and challenging

I used to be a member here ten years ago so was really looking forward to going back to play.
A lot of work has been done away from the course but not so much on the course itself.
The greens had not long been treated so were not the best. The grass long and leaves everywhere! Lost two balls in the leaves!
It's still a good test of golf and I really enjoyed playing here.
Disappointed that a slow group in front wouldn't let us,a two ball play through.
There are better courses to play at more competitive prices. Lansdown GC just up the road do a winter deal of coffee, bacon roll, round of golf and a meal for £25 which is what I paid for Tracy Park.

The course was in very good condition, great value for mnet deal, , greens were good and staff and facuilities were excellent..We were requsted to start on he 10th which was okay but usual wait at the 1st hile for our second half means I can only give it 4/5.

Considering how dry the weather has been this course (The Crown) was in excellent condition. Nice divot from the fairways and the greens were matured and putted really well. Will definitely be back to play the Cromwell course soon.

We are looking for a new course to join and decided to have a tester at Tracy Park. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. We played the Cromwell course and I have to say it was a great course, lots of testing holes, the views were fantastic and the course was in great condition. Loved the greens they were large lots of tiers with subtle breaks, all round this is a great course. The only downside to this club is the facilities, the changing rooms/showers and the bar are in a temp building which really let down the overall experience. At the moment there are no chipping and bunker practise areas but we have been told they are addressing this I think with time this will be a great club.

...but club in transition, with poor amenities just at present. As a result, hard to find reception point (arrow in wrong direction), confused/non-existent directions to get from hole to hole, exacerbated by both courses being so adjacent. However, the main event is the golf and that's perfect. Two excellent courses extremely well maintained. Terrific value for money booking through... teeofftimes...

as i said lovely course ,, all have there own features ,, 2 negatives which is out of there hands is the road is closed from the wick end ,, so big detour to get to the course and seems to be there till the end of june ,, the 2nd is probaly because of are late tea off time ,, when we came off the pub porta cabin was closed so we had to go off course to find a well deserved drink ,,but excellent value and highly recomended to golfers of all standards john

Lovely condition and well maintained. Cost of a round has risen since the new owners have taken over. The bar was not open after our round so went to a local pub. The complex now has a Corporate feel to it rather than a golf club these days. That said the £32 for two players was well worth the money for the golf. Course very well maintained.
