Disappointing
Upon arrival we were informed the main course front 9 is under construction. Played the Chidderich 9, is an extended par3, with slow play and awful tee boxes.
Back 9 is tight and limited.
Disappointed as was excited for hitting over water.
Not worth the money for this combination of holes
To improve this course, signage to the next hole, better tee boxes, informed of construction, better range balls, discounted rate for playing the different 9
This course is a bog. it was essentially unplayable. We nearly abandoned the match several times. To be fair it had re-opened after Lockdown and no doubt funds are an issue but the mud was not just bad it was utterly atrocious. There had been snow a few days earlier and heavy rain to be fair but the conditions were quite ridiculous. I needed wellington boots and not golf shoes and by the time I had finished i had evolved into an amphibian. They should never have opened without a warning about quite how boggy it was.
Greens were poor
I didn’t realise when booking that you had to play 9 holes twice on this course. It’s a very hilly course so not for anybody with a lack of fitness unless you hired a buggy. The course was very dry and the fairways were poor but the greens were the worst I’ve seen.
Still playing well in Mid November
The Childerditch 9 plus the front 9 of the "main " course makes a good combination. Childerditch is a good par 34 challenge in itself with changing elevations, mature trees, dog-legs, water hazards and well-placed bunkers. The front 9 par 36 of the main Warley Park course is well reviewed elsewhere. This is a really nice club with good clubhouse facilities and a driving range. Greens are playing much as they should in mid-summer but are more receptive given recent rain. Recoomended.
warley park
Great course, great staff. Fun yet challenging course, will definitely play agin.
Whole hearted recommendation.
Enjoyable all round
Had a great day out at Warley Park and will definitely be back to try the other course. Proshop was really well stocked too which is great to see nowadays.
Warm Welcome
Made to feel welcome and well stocked pro-shop. Staff I spoke to seemed very friendly. Course in good condition considering time of year. Tricky but very enjoyable.
