Excellent course and scenery

Stunning views and well kept course. All the courses round mine are under water and require shots off mats.
Being set high up the water has drained away. Definitely worth a trip.
A few temporary greens have been added which aren’t ideal but hopefully they will be removed in the new year

Congested finale but lovely course

Well kept, if a little soft (but rain has been biblical. Only problem is the last 7 holes are busy as its the first 7 of those just going out so gets congested

Good Course but Great Price, Great Day, Great Views

Wanted to try this course as I live locally and I know the area. And so thought there might be some nice views from up on the course.
For the price it's a cracking course really and the views do really help to make it some of the holes are quite tricky most of them slope quite a lot so that makes them more tricky than maybe they should be. It is very hilly so not for the faint hearted (they do have plenty of buggies to hire though) and with itbeing at height it may not be so great to play in the rain or the wind, lucky we played in mid-september when the weather was 24 degrees plus. I have seen some comments regarding the layout and the fact that it is just 13 holes therefore you play holes one thro five twice (on different tees that do make a difference) but we didn't find too much of an issue with crossovers or being held up. We did have to wait for one 4 ball but that was only on that one hole. I would definitely recommend for anyone locally to play this course especially on a nice day with a views over the whole of greater Manchester and beyond. If you arewithin a 25 mile radius maybe give it a go.

Brilliant

Lovely course. My only complaint and this is only a small complaint is that it’s not the best sign posted getting to some of the holes. Again this was my only fault.

Poor

The views are amazing don’t get me wrong however the course layout is one of the worst golf course I’ve ever come across. No real explanation by the pro in the club house, they just hand you a piece of paper with instructions on and send you out.
No arrows to next tees and a lot of crossing on fairways with some holes ending up having the same flag!. Don’t really understand how it passes health and safety. Will not be returning.

Great views

Course in good condition despite all the rain, great views from all over the course. Not too impressed with the layout it's an 11 hole course then you play 1st 7 again albeit from different tees, after I had played no.11 I then found myself behind a group playing the 1st somewhat confusing

Shambles of a course

We played today without anybody telling us about the so called “winter greens” we played 2 winter greens which were bobbly and random pieces of grass, then played about 3 real greens. Then the rest of them were just random holes in the middle of the fairway. Which made it hard to putt and it was a shambles. We payed £17 each for this and would never of bothered had we of known about the state of this course. We played 11 holes and walked off as it wasn’t enjoyable what so ever. £17 is a lot of money to be playing such a bad state. The bad thing about it was all of the greens looked in good shape and should of been open. Absolute shambles of a course. And golf now won’t let me upload any images of this course or videos. Shocking!!
