Nice course except for the old ones

I've played Widney Manor a few times and enjoy the layout of the course. The only problem faced is the old four balls who go out early morning as you get stacked up behind them and they don't seem to understand golf etiquette. I was playing as a solo and very quickly came up behind a 4 ball on the 2nd. At no stage did they let me through and on the 4th they'd caught up with another old four ball where they all tee'd off together. After waiting for a while I skipped the 4th and 5th and moved to the 6th.
If you're a 4 ball and don't mind getting stuck behind people the course is good but if you stand true to golf etiquette this course will frustrate you.

Golf or formula 1

Play was very very slow. Was dissappointed by all the buggies. Golf is a walking game. This was like a formula 1 race track wiith buggies weaving from all corners across the course. Buggy drivers would.just pull out onto your fairway and expect you to stop for them and let them play! Spoilt the experience. Greens were poor, patchy and very bobbly. Range is poor, many ball feeders broke and balls are old rubber versions.

Enjoyed it !

Very nice course, maintained very well , only downfall is the slow pace of play due to congested tee times, groups of 4 should be told to let people through who play quicker than there group. Took 5 and a half hours to get around one time !
