Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

Stayed in Naples for a week at Christmas. Played the following in ascending order by value. Stoneybrook (cheapest and very good but condos are close to the course), Raptor Bay (a good track and solid value), Old Corkscrew (probably 2nd best golf but overpriced), Esplanade (best course and by far the best value). It’s a private community, but they take tee times. Heavily marshaled (which is great and you’ll get paired up, but it’ll play in 4:05 every time). Course condition couldn’t be better and it’s a fair test of golf with many tee options.

Fun and fair course to play. Played in 4hrs to the minute and was a good pace for prime time play.

Enjoyed the course as it has a great layout and well manicured. Greens were quite slow with top seed on them.

Played this course for 3rd time and it has always been in top shape. Everything is lush and green, prices are getting a little steep. The only problem is this community was built around a bird sanctuary and hole 15 is like a scene out of Hitchcock s “ the birds” Huge, fricking annoying large noisy crows everywhere. Like 100 plus birds in trees and condo roofs along the hole. I would suggest having two people putt While the others guard the carts for these annoying flying rodents that are going to ransack your golf cart looking for food and crap all over the cart seats.

Course was nicely maintained. At least 2 of the par fours were not reachable in regulation for the average golfer. Pace of play was good until we caught up with a foursome of lady residents of the community. I would not pay full price to play here again.

Got to play with 2 members who were lady club champions. Really helped with course knowledge and layout. Greens alittle slow but told that’s not the norm. Would definitely play again.

Always, when I am in Naples, I play this course! It is a fair. Well maintained course and value for money is correct! Nice practice facilities. Staff could be friendlier!

Lucky to have public access to this club for now. Enjoy it while you can.

Very nice layout, greens are challenging and well designed. they played slow today due to top dressing.

All holes look alike; there is no hole which one would remember back home. Long distances between green and next hole. All the houses next to the fairways also look alike. Boring.

Esplanade is as usual in great shape. Fairways, bunkers and greens were immaculate. Great pace even though we were only 2 players behind several foursomes.

Got paired up with three others and had a great time. Good pace, friendly course.

Three great friends golfing in Paradise . This is a great Semi-Private venue with great amenities. The staff treats you as though you were a member . Great Food and a variety of great Adult beveages at the 19th Hole.

Esplanade is a ton of fun. Has tee boxes for every skill set. You won’t walk this course - don’t even try as the green to tee box distances can be long. But so what, it’s Florida! The fairways are wide and fairly forgiving and the greens are large making them very inviting. But don’t be fooled. Around the greens and on the greens you will be challenged. They keep the greens rolling fast (11.7) on our day and there is plenty of movement on them. Getting on the green in regulation is by no means a guaranteed par. 3 putting will happen even for the best putters unless you put your ball in the right place. But when you finish your round your thought will be - this course is just fun.

Great course well maintained friendly staff. Reasonable price.

Esplanade was busy, but the course was fabulous. Resort wide fairways, perfect bunkers, greens were FAST and fun. Only 10 miles from Naples, not real snooty just REAL good, definitely worth playing will go back next time in town!
