Cheshunt Park

This course was so boggy it was nigh on impossible to play, we had to repeatedly retrieve a ball from unplayable ground and re drop on better ground. I don’t consider the end of May as winter golf but that’s what the course was like, very disappointed

Slow members

Nice enough public course overall but the bunkers are shocking, just gave myself free drops out of them as if they were GUR as they were unplayable. The rest of the course was a touch boggy after heavy rain but not too bad considering. Has a decent range and putting green. Biggest issue is that the club that plays there have the mornings blocked out to 10:30 every day and I went out as a 2-ball and they refused to let anyone play through. Lads playing as if they are at Augusta, counting scores on the green as you're waiting to approach. For the price, not worth it, play a private club where they will at least follow the rules of golf etiquette. Total round time 4h47m.

Course is okay

For me it doesn't have a really interesting layout and the paths made of rubbish, whilst maybe environmental, it makes the course like a council course.

Lovely course

I had a 0800 tee time and by the time I played to the 1st green they had already been swept and were in great condition. The course has some challenging holes which make you think about club selection and position on the fairway.
I arrived early and was able to tee off before my time. The driving range doesn't open until 0800 however there are driving nets near the 1st tee which was great.
My only negative is the lack of directional signage to the next tee and I ended up getting lost on a couple of occasions.
Over-all Cheshunt Park 8s a lovely course and can't wait to play there again.

Sunny Day in Cheshunt

After a warm up in the driving range (very handy) The first hole was a bit of a let down as it looked a bit unloved and there were workmen building a new path down the left hand side, basically they had stopped for a chat around thier dump truck, which was distracting. I had to ask them to move as they were in my line to the hole. Apart from that once we got onto the course we enjoyed the layout, good sign posting between holes and clear information about the holes. Very nicely planted and picturesque this time of the year. A good place to play.

Slowest round of Golf I have ever played

Took almost 5 hours to get around the course. We noticed a couple of five balls playing a few people in front of us. A lot of players not wearing golfing attire. Unfriendly staff. The course was in good condition and the greens ran well.

I would not come back to Cheshunt to play golf...ever
