Golf now overcharge do not use
I paid £20 for 9 holes through this thieving app and then found out it was £3.50 per person cheaper at the course.
Oh and don’t forget the booking fee as well!
In real terms for a 4 ball to booking through this app costs an extra £18
Dump it
Great place to learn
I can't think of a more ideal place to sharpen your skills if you're a beginner like me. Course is nice and open mostly so you can find your ball, it has a range of holes and even par 5s. Greens are in good nick too. Hit a few balls on the range here and then play 9 holes is so much better than slogging away at 18 holes getting frustrated!
Not bad
This is my second time playing this course - I can’t say that I’m wowed by it. Staff are friendly enough and other amenities are decent; the course is in reasonable condition (though the greens were in particularly good shape - credit where it’s due). The main issue is the price, which has recently increased; it’s not worth the weekend rate of £25 for what is essentially a slightly extended 9 hole par 3 course, particularly when there are superior, cheaper courses nearby (Haste Hill springs to mind!).!
That said, there are far worse courses out there, so perhaps see for yourself? It won’t stop me using the driving range on-site!
Challenging 9 hole
Challenging nine hole with bunkers strategically placed, will catch average handicappers out. Tight fairways with ugly roughs make it unpleasant. Needs more beautifying and landscaping.
if you want a challenge
this is a short 9 holes. I played once many years ago but I forgot how challenging it was. The fairways are narrow and there is a lot of water hazards. Furthermore the landscape is somehow moved so if you miss the fairway (that I do often) it is a real challenge to find the ball and to go back. I really liked it even if very frustrating as I got very poor results, but for my poor golf level
Don’t book with golf now...
Great course play all the time but golf now charges your 50% more
The golf club charges £15 on weekdays
GolfNow took £22 per person from me....
Way too expensive for what it is
Rubbish littering the course, in every Bush and ditch. Whilst the culprits are ignorant golfers the course management should be doing something about it. It is also poorly signposted with no tee boards. The pro shop person did not need to get frustrated with me for asking them to repeat their mumbles at me because I could not hear through their perspex screen. Overall not worth £25 for 9 holes and won't be playing there again.
Tricky but in great shape.
This course is great value and in lovely shape. There are a lot of tricky shots and you need to play well off the tee to get a decent score.
Second round, still liking it
It's a good course, very well kept. The effort they go to, to keep things in good condition is in evidence. On the 9th, I had two greenskeepers circling me in very noisy tractor/mowers. They were wearing ear protectors, I didn't have that advantage as I tried to putt.
Golfers getting in the way.
Otherwise a good course, even in the gale.
Great value, good condition
Played West London on a beautiful sunny morning. To my level of understanding the course was in very good condition and the greens were tricky but true. It is a little hilly and includes some nice challenging over water shots as well.
I play off 29 (was 54 a couple of months ago) and I'm trying to play twice a week at the moment.
Very good
New to golf but best course I’ve played so far wasn’t busy at all but I have a late evening tee
Overpriced and dangerous
Way overpriced for a quick 9 holes.
Dangerous first tee box as balls come flying over from the range - had to walk down fairway to tee off.
Piccadilly Circus.
If you like to play your golf with a full gallery watching you then this is the course for you. If you like to sit down for 10mins between holes then again this is the course for you. We played a whole round with 4 different groups on the same hole. Tee times are stacked way too close and course is over booked. Couldn’t get on the range before the round as there was a huge queue. Staff couldn’t care less and are very unhelpful. Will not be returning.
Little gem 20 mins from Notting Hill
Forget about Chiswick. If you want to practice golf and live in west London, this is where you want to go. Great range, great pro shop, great pros. But the point is that there are 9 real holes. The fairways are narrow and challenging, the 4s and 5s drivable, the elevation changes and the water everywhere make it quite difficult. It’s 3000 yards and you go around it in an hour and a half. It’s the best place to practice in London. Half hour at the range and then a quick 9 holes. For me was the best find ever!
Great course, well kept!
This 9 hole course is great, nice fairways and perfect greens considering how much rain we have had. The course obviously drains well and is well kept. Definitely will be going here again most likely will become a member after just one round.
