The coarse was great.
North Kern Golf Coarse was a great coarse. My family really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend it. Can’t wait to play it again.
Inconsistent
The greens are sometimes well maintained, sometimes look like a field after a napalm hit. A lot of the course was muddy, and the carts are rough. For what you pay at dealtime, it’s not too bad.
Great play
Got on quick. Has plenty of challenging holes. As well as big distance to use every club you have. Enjoyed myself and recommend it to others.
North Kern
A fine course for non-elites. Had a great day with my 2 Marines. Good condition after a great rainy season. Yes, we play Riverlakes. (Lots of duck poop), and Rio Bravo as well, which are also very nice
Good course
This time of year its very green. Well kept for the most part. Only issue here are the bunkers which are very hard but good course over all.
North Kern
Greens are very hard and very fast. Fairways are ok, though inconsistent. Sand traps are very difficult. They have a little bit of sand and very hard underneath. The rough is overgrown and the gophers have made the ground very rough and uneven.
Nice for a straightforward Game
Not many hazards and most holes are straight from the tee box. Went after a few rain storms and the ground was a bit soggy in places, gave a little hazard conditions to play around. Overall really nice and forgiving course to play on!
Solid course in Bakersfield
2nd time playing here but it had been several years since the first. Solid course in good condition except for the bunkers that were either muddy or rock hard or both. Pretty straightforward layout that allows you to recover errant shots on other fairways on most holes. Favors right handed players as most of the potential trouble is on the left for the holes that border the property. Good restaurant at the club house and friendly staff. Got it on hot deal for $25 including a cart which was a great value considering it still hasn’t gotten super hot yet for the summer.
