Nice Course
Everything is ok since I usually play in this GC. Course difficulties are always moderate but not easy. The phase of play is ok since this is on a weekday.
Course Conditions
Great condition. Well kept.
Will definitely play again.
Finished in under four hours for a foursome with me being the only walker in the group; definitely the highlight of the day. Greens were a bit inconsistent and shaggy. Bunkers had heavy wet sand. Fairways have good coverage and tee boxes were ok. Looks like they are either removing/covering some bunkers or killing weeds and repairing others. The employees in the pro shop early Wednesday mornings are nice guys.
Nice
Greens were almost recovered from the aeration and pace was great. Played just under 4 hrs. Will play again
One more week and it’ll be PERFECT
As long as they cut the greens and fairways and make them nice, and leave the rough alone, and then rake the bunkers, it will be the best it’s been in YEARS. It hasn’t had this much grass in 20 years
Best of the three mid-valley courses
IN the mid-valley you have Woodley Lakes, Balboa and Encino courses, respectfully. The Encino course is the best of the three, in my opinion. Wide fairways make it easy for the beginer to have an enjoyable round without looking a couple of sleeves worth of balls. The other two courses are also good, however the Geese love to poop on the Woodley and Balboa courses. Especially Woodley.
