18th tee box, with a few elevation changes and water on the left. If you feel confident, slug it off to the left and clear the water, putting you in a great position for a second shot to the green Photo submitted by copz1998 on 07/20/2018

5 hrs but worth it
As with many courses nowadays the backup happened, letting up around hole 16. I'm patient. Always enjoy the water challenges. Greens were slow, animals out, drink cart on, employees exceptional.
pace of play
need more marshals out on the course to make sure people are keeping up with the pace of play
Really slow
5 1/2 hour round on a Thursday afternoon. Saw the Marshall once but nothing improved. Fairways were a little shaggy and greens were on the slow side but overall and great shape.
Grass is growing nicely off the fairway
Middle of the fairway was a bumpy dry mess. Didn’t we get record amounts of rain this year? Was surprised for the poor conditions so early in the season.
Tough greens
Challenging putting. Marshall was awesome.
Challenging Hillside Gem
This beautiful, hillside gem of a coarse winds its way through the Sierra Nevada foothills, amongst gorgeous old growth oak trees, and huge granite outcroppings. The course has many blind shots, which make it challenging for the first time player. However, the Course is very fair and demands shot planning instead of step up and wack it. The tee boxes were in average to above average condition, the fairways were very good considering the amount of winter torment these courses suffered, and the greens were in excellent shape, rolling true and medium to medium fast.
Some of the par threes are particularly challenging and fun, and there’s enough water to make the course interesting for those who appreciate crafty use of water on golf holes. One other bonus of the course is that there are no homes on the course at all, so you have the feeling of being in a secluded oak and granite forest. The pro shops and restaurant folks were very friendly, and the overall experience was one of the better ones I’ve had in a while. We will definitely be back.
Tough but forgiving, fun
Turkey is a fun local course that has its moments of mild frustration when you get to aggressive and get in the trees. The course is usually in great shape but with all the rain recently in Northern CA, there were some areas that were less than pleasant to be in.
Lots of oak trees to hit into (if you’re into that sort of thing) but no houses... yet.
Great course.
Course shape
Course was in great shape for all the rain we’ve had. Greens were excellent.
Nice Course
This was my 1st time playing Turkey Creek, and I will definitely come back. The course is not long at all but has a very interesting layout that requires some accuracy. The greens are in great shape, a bit fast but very true.
