Hansen Dam Golf Course

I played a round with a friend after a long time, but it was so bad that the green was sanded. I was completely disappointed and came back after playing golf without any fun. However, the course layout is good

love this course, open and spacious and well taken cared of... however the check is always leaves me with a frown, the staff here are super unfriendly and they think they own the course. they get paid by the city and it should reallly be a friendly atmosphere but i don't know why the people that work here are so rude with a stiff neck. they like to boss you around and try to make check in as unpleasant as possible. One time the dude told me i was late and that one more minute he was going to give my spot away.. i was 10 minutes before my tee time! he said i rule is 15 minutes... sheesh... aside from that i love golfing here

Greens were beat up and slow. The combo of ball marks and maybe some fungus was no good. Pace of play decent. The tee boxes they repaired are looking much better. The fairways were good and the bunkers varied. Some firm and one another very soft. Some standing water on the course due to recent rains.

Brrrrr! It blew 30mph AND snowed some hail with it, but the course played surprisingly well. Yes there were some wetter spots but the course is fine. Greens were really good, except on a couple holes like 2, where they could have put the pin in a spot that doesn’t have all the indented damage from dead grass due to fungus.

Love jumping out in this course in the afternoon walking. Tim and Dan in the pro shop are super nice guys and the experience is always convenient. Great driving range

It's a challenging course with wide fairways and fast play. I always have fun playing here. It's a good place to polish your game and gain confidence in your swing. The food is decent and the prices are good. The driving range is a bit of a disappointment because I can't really figure out the distances of my clubs because you're basically hitting balls up a hill. You'll see what I mean when you get there. The practice putting green makes up for the awkward driving range and the chipping area is average if you don't mind the wait. It's almost always occupied but if you got the time, you'll be all right. There is plenty of parking and the staff is friendly especially if you're a regular. Wether you walk or ride you will enjoy the scenery and the vast hills and slopes that will challenge any golfer from novice to seasoned veteran. The putting greens are fast so ease up on your putter or you'll find yourself playing bogey golf. The location of the course isn't much to desire but you forget that you're in a gang infested neighborhood once you enter the parking lot.

A few long Par 4s but a wide open and still challenging course in the Valley

My longtime home course continues to play at a fairly high level for a reasonable price.

To start, let me be clear, I like this course & play it often. However I'm really disappointed with service from both the Tee Off / Golf Now apps & the Hansen Dam staff. I needed to modify my Tee Time more than 24hrs in advance on a weekday & the app wouldn't allow me. I called the course to advise they said they couldn't help. I called the app ph#'s they were closed. So its clear I tried every combination of options to modify my tee time more than 24hrs in advance. When I checked in the next day at the course I advised again of the situation & asked if anyone was on standby to fill the spots. The guy at Hansen Dam said he couldn't fill the spots & would have to mark a no show which was a $10 charge per person. Which is the worst service I've ever seen. Then 2 weeks I get an email from the app that I'm getting charged in full for the green fees & when I called the app #'s again, the offshore rep that barely speaks English talks in circles to just say they can't do anything. So frustrating & such a poor experience of companies solely wanting to vacuum your money away & provide absolutely no service, nor reflect even being human.

Course is solid tee to green minus the bunkers. Tees do need a haircut but overall course is great. Greens are just right as to firmness and speed. True putt goes true to the line. Bunkers are not good. Need a complete overhaul. The sand pro machines compact the sand and sooner or later it all goes to the edges. Overall solid.
