Tucked away in the Pittsburg foothills, Delta View Golf Club offers exactly what its name implies, beautiful views of the Delta as well as Mount Diablo in the background. The course originally opened as a nine-hole layout in 1947 but it was lengthened to an 18-hole course in 1991. The rolling terrain allows for elevated tees and undulating greens that make it feel longer than the 6,317 yards indicated on the scorecard. The numerous dogleg fairways and abundance of mature trees also add to the illusion of length. Delta View Golf Club's signature hole comes halfway through the course on the par-3 ninth. This demanding hole requires a carry over water to a green that slopes from back to front. You can make up for any mistakes on the next hole, a par 4 that offers a good birdie opportunity.

Bad staff
Staff was rude because we booked with golf now. Would not let us use cart to hit range balls(long walk) because he said they were not making any money because we booked online.
Golf game
Once the fog broke we had a fine game course is a little wet from all the rain we've had so we're all the other courses everybody's real nice over there took us four hours to play 18 we join their frequent player program look forward to more games in the future at Delta view golf course
Inconsistent Care
Great price, $14 with cart. Apparently had just mowed and loose cut grass was everywhere - even on the greens. Rough was 4 inches high, nearly unplayable. Have played here many times over the years and the course was in below average shape. It's an interesting and challenging layout, should take care of it better.
Delta View
Kids on course, playing some sort of soccet, impacted play. Greens were good but other course condition was less than average.
delta- slowly aging
This course was much more challenging before the advent of the PROV1. Now it plays somewhat short even from the blue tees. They need to add another 700 yards. If they did would even challenge harding park. The basic layout on the back is excellent. The greens are in real good shape. There are dried out hard pan areas in the fairway but that is expected in the summer. Overall, it is worth playing from the blue tees. If you play the white tees and are under 70--"Shame on You!"
Over booked, slow play
The course was overbooked. 1 hour late to get on tee box. Slow play.
Dismayed
There was a tournament going on but course still took tee time bookings. As a result , delays occurred, pace got slower as we gave way to tournament players.
Course would not give us a rain check as we booked through golf now and not through them directly.
In short , we did not finish our round as it got darker
Mosquitos
There is the worst mosquito problem I've ever seen. I was bitten a least 50 times in the first 3 holes. It was so bad on the forth hole I couldn't even tee off. Bring your bug spray if you play this place.
Greens were as good as any in the East Bay.
Very fair, not too fast, and in excellent shape.
Good for the money
It is a fairly good and challenging course. The amenities and things around the course are minimal.?The cart paths are pretty bad.
Good course, can be better
I've played this course about (4) times and everytime I come out I hope that the playing field is in better condition, but its not. Most of the holes did not have a wash area for your golf balls to be cleaned and/or worked. They play soccer golf on the course so there are large 2' feet in diameter holes on each hole throughout the course so watch out! I've played here before where a mens team has played on a Sunday morning and groups of 5-6 are together and the Marshall pushes it off as nothing. This can be frustrating for those that are visiting trying to enjoy there Sunday golfing in a reasonable time. At least warn the public that theres an event!
Groundskeepers on vacation ??
It was apparent that nobody had groomed the bunkers since the last rain.....which had been almost two weeks. How much fun is it to step into a bunker that has a 1" crusty layer like cement. Shows a real lack of concern for the golfers!
Challenging course when windy.
This course can be challenging when it's windy.
Pricing change / no free lunch where lower paid players received it
I booked a round on GolfNow about 3 weeks in advance. The cost was a Hot Deal at $22, with the $3.49 per player tax and fee, it came to $25.49. About 1 week after booking, the course put an aerification alert on the week and lowered their normal price for all golfers to $24. Included in the $24, was a meal deal for a hot dog/chips/soda. Now, I have ended paying $1.49 more person and do not get to have a meal deal, all because I planned my outing in advance and booked early. Essentially, I was penalized for booking early. I was told I could not get the meal with my pre-paid booking. I think the golf course should have recognized this and gave me the free meal....kind of poor customer service if I may say so. The course - the rough was in bad shape...a lot of bare spots, missing grass, etc...and some parts of the fairways were that was a well. I cannot blame the greens for being terrible because they were under aerification.
surprise
What a great course if you don't like straight flat holes. Today I found out while checking in we had to play the front twice because they are arating the back nine. It has to be done, no problem. If I had known it would be the front twice which starts to stack up I would have played another course. A pain, but not a BIG deal.
