No golf carts
Course was soaking wet and muddy. It’s a crazy hike without a golf cart, (they don’t have any) up and down elevation all round. All the pull carts are broken so get ready for a hike and make sure you don’t have anything to do later that day
Good Location with GGB & City View
Good Location with GGB & City View! That worth the price.
Amenities are not modernized. The sign and direction can be improved to avoid lost in the path.
Too many tourist and pedestrians in last several holes.
Great views on the Golden Gate bridge
Enjoyable course to play close to the center of San Francisco decently maintained for the season with stunning view on the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately the clubhouse was closed and in shabby condition, but the proshop has all you need what you could have forgotten.
played in winter conditions
We played FEB2023, and its been a wet winter. I'll play it this spring/summer and give more feedback. It's a nice little course, but you can tell it doesn't get much love. For the money, and it's 1/2 a mile from where I work, no brainer. My buddy's window got smashed and they swiped his back pack from back seat. DO NOT TAKE ANY VALUABLES TO THE COURSE!
Lot of golf for the money
The green fees for the course are good value for a reasonably kept 18 hole course. However, they don’t include a cart (+$50) and the course is very poorly laid out to walk. Splitting a cart with a buddy wound up costing ~$70 a person which was still pretty decent value for the golf and views you get. Good hot dog and beer but the clubhouse is still mostly closed post-Covid.
Overall happy to play here in a pinch but not the destination it could be.
Worst Golf Course I played
Bad management, not carts on hilly course, poor green condition. A waste of time.
This course is a waste of time
Purchases the deal in golf now are included cart for this hilly course but they said is first come first serve and offer us two broken push carts have not front wheels. We gave up after 4 holes cause we brought heavy cart bags and it reach 90 degree. Walked back and found guys behind us have carts who paid extra $ 50 per carts.
Ok
OK the golf course was great I just couldn't believe they charge $50 for a golf cart and it's cartpath only but I understand the car path only people driving on that course with this terret up but $50 for a cart is ridiculous but outside of that, it was a great day A lot of fun that course.
Watch out for single golfers who hit multiple balls on every hole and won’t join up with others to help speed play
Had to wait on every shot due to local single who would not follow golf etiquette. Played multiple balls on every hole and shagged balls in the rough while holding up everyone behind her. Would not willingly join twosome ahead of her. They left-would not catch up to next group ahead of her. Mentioned her behavior to staff-I don’t think I was the first person to complain.
Marshall stole our cart key
Marshall stole our cart key, ran away and hid. While we were calling the shop he shows up and drives our cart away with the clubs saying “I’m gonna throw your clubs in the parking lot”. It was Cart path only. We drove on the fairway to pick up a ball and immediately went back on cart path. Childish behavior from the Marshall. No warning. And to steal the cart key while we are teeing off? Really?
Good view, poorly kept course
Pros:
- Great views
- historic
- hole 17 is amazing
Cons:
- hit fairways and still land in the dirt
- poorly kept greens
- bunch old angry men on monday afternoons
- ran out of carts on MOnday at 12:30
- don't recommend walking cause it gets hilly
overall: if you are out of town, it might be a good place to go but other than that, save your money and go somewhere the greens and fairways are better maintained.
Good place
Good place, but some sharp for play. If you want to practice for sharp course, this is excellent.
