Breezy
Enjoyed the round. Breezy. Some greens a little bumpy -- REPAIR THOSE BALLMARKS PEOPLE, THANKS. The 10 minute rule for picking up carts is not optimum. We can do all pre-round warm ups -- range, putting green, bloody mary, distancing -- easier with a cart than without a cart.
Nice Fairways
Walking 18 on a hot afternoon is pretty rough but with it. The conditions were good and I give them credit for doing everything they can to make it safe for golfers during the pandemic.
Sanded Greens
No mention of sanded greens and no discount. It was so thick i would have played somewhere else.
Sanded greens
Had fun except for the sanded greens. No warning was given before I booked it. We skipped playing Sunnyvale because there was a green sanding warning.
Still a good time!
An easy walk to enjoy
I'm biased, as ST is technically my "home" course since I live within walking distance.
It might feel "overpriced" to many who play on weekends with a cart, but during the week and at twilight, it feels like a steal while walking it.
I wish more munis could be kept in this type of shape. It is firm and bouncy, so you have to control shots and play the ground game. A few holes are mundane, but overall, an interesting and thoughtful layout.
My only complaint would be the all-mats range. Wish it were grass.
Warm, Sunny
I've played ST for over 30 years, and enjoy the layout as well as the course conditions of this popular golf course.
My request to players: REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS. I make a point of repairing mine as well as 1 or 2 others on each hole. The course and facility is well-maintained.
Not worth the price
Course not worth the money. Play coyote creek which so much better for the same price.
Good public course in silicon valley
Good public course in South San Jose. Has all the usual amenities ( with the exception of bunker practice areas). Great for kids, beginners and mid handicappers. Kind of pricey for the layout.
Slow play
Very slow play waiting up to 15 to 20 per hole on the back nine. I quit after hole 15.
