Course Conditions
Get some sand in the bunkers! Impossible to play out of muddy bunkers.
Great course for the money
This course is a bit out of the way from Hilton Head Island where I was staying but the price was right and it looked to be a good basic course. I was lucky enough to team up with Larry, a member who lives on the course, He helped me with shot placement, etc. There are a few dogleg holes and it was nice to have a strategy even though none of them are difficult. Fairways are wide, most shots straight forward. Some water, but nothing difficult. Fairways were OK, just starting to turn green. The greens were somewhat brown but faster than the two courses I played earlier that week. The only problem with them was that they were dry and didn't hold the ball well when chipping or pitching . The pro shop had little to offer other than balls and tees but the staff was quite friendly. The restaurant recently re-opened and has a limited menu but once again the staff was friendly and the beer cold. Over all I will definitely play this course again when I am in the area. Thanks again to Larry for an enjoyable round of golf.
Great Price!
Course was laid out in a way that keeps lost time down. The carts are old and need to be upgraded. The one I had, the steering was hard to turn. Overall, I emboss my game and played very well.
Stop Wasting Your Money
Every Golf course here in the low country that is public has been beat and over priced …. I’d say not so much with Lost P. Today I paid 40 dollars as a single. Got paired up with a 3 some. Layout is fairly okay. Couple of doglegs , minimum hazards , green side bunker almost on every hole. They did have a beer cart going around the course. I’ve played 4 different courses around the area , grass is dormant , greens all rolling about the same , Legends Golf Course at PI (Lightening Fast) , but they are playing about the same . If you are the one complains about the cart path, this place isn’t for you.

Great Value, Great Day of Golf
The course offers a range of tee options to suit all players. It is a fair course with straightforward (no gimmicky) hole designs. Bunkers and Water come into play but won't overwhelm the average golfer. Conditions for early March were fine and likely improving by the day. The greens rolled well. As someone who can be unpredictably wild off the tee, there were a couple of holes lined with private homes that caused me some anxiety but most fairways were generous. Would recommend this course to others.
Pleasant surprise
Course was fun and pace was good. Gotta HOTDEAL rate of $30 on a Friday and it was well worth the 40 minute drive from Bluffton. Especially since all the Bluffton courses were $55 and more this day. Greens were good and receptive. The fairways on #1 and #2 were very soggy and muddy even though it hadn’t rained in last few days. Maybe just bad drainage. But overall me and my playing partner were very pleased with the course.
Lost Plantation
Enjoyed the layout. Course was in winter dormancy but consistent grass quality.
Several holes lay low so it could be wet after a rain..
Would play it again.
Not a premium but price was half of what we are playing on HHI and in better shape.
1st time at Lost Plantation
Pretty good first impression, will likely go back.. Like many courses in the area, they are just getting started with grooming for Spring. And like other courses, they are battling invasive grass/weeds on the greens, but the important thing is that they are actively battling the invasion. Since it's been dry, the course was fairly dry. Many challenges with doglegs, long par 3s (I played from the Blue tees). and some narrow fairways. On the other hand, many wide fairways and many large greens. Greens in pretty good shape for this time of year. Take a cart, some long distances between green and next tee box. Would be great to fix the cart paths... Will go back when the grass isn't as dormant to see how well the course greens up.
RinTinFinCon
Actually, this was the second time my wife and I golfed here, but the first time was 4 years ago since we come from Michigan and the pandemic interfered.with an earlier return. This time, however, we brought my Brother and Sister-in-Law, and they enjoyed it a lot. The kitchen wasn't up for making dinner, we were told, but they were kind to suggest a great place to go for dinner, which was The Tin Fin, and on Tuesday night they had all the crab or shrimp you could eat, and my Wife was ravanous, which she often is after 18 holes. We ate well, and next year, we want to do so again, both golf and TinFin!
Great Course!
I first want to say this course was in fantastic condition for being the middle of February. Greens rolled great, I was able to drain a 30 foot birdie with the greens rolling so well. Fairways were great condition with the time of year it was. No complaints at all. $30 for a round here? Sign me up! So worth it and would definitely play again.
Course was in good shape, best I've seen in a while
LP has gotten the course in pretty good condition. Some greens still needing support but most of them were significantly better that my last visit.
Ger the weeds off the greens, fix the tee boxes, cut down the long grass would be rated a 5.
Getting a little work worn
Have played this course a couple times over the past year. Each time I come I say I won't come back until they make some improvements. Nothing changes, still the same. There are many fairways that are bare no grass, many greens have large bald spots, cart paths are a challenge to even drive on, and yesterday, due to the weather, there were far too many folks out playing, which made the pace of play terrible.
Never again on a weekend and not during a weekday until somebody says they've grown some more grass and filled in the potholes
Lost plantation golf course
Comes up as Rincon Golf course despite it being lost plantation. Always enjoy the course, challenging in its own ways with some narrow fairways and dog legs that force to choose what club to use off the tees. Greens are firm and very well maintained.
Hello! I believe I was the one to recommend Tin Fin when I saw you and your wife in the parking lot :) I am so glad you enjoyed your day at LP and Tin Fin! We look forward to seeing you again on the golf course!
