Punched Greens, Unimaginative Layout

Greens and many fairways were in rough shape, looks like they were recently punched and also overgrown. Wide fairways with nothing much to hit over, I just didn’t find the course to be very creative given the beautiful location. Two holes along the ocean but the ocean itself was never really in play, just along the side of a couple straight-on Par 3’s.

Can't Beat the Scenery

You should play this course just for the views. The fairways are wide. The rough is treacherous. Mostly the bunkers do not come into play.

Good Value course in Kona

We've played Kona Country Club several times through the years. We like the course layout. It's fun to play, somewhat challenging, and scenic. I wish they still had the mountain course! While the price has gone up significantly since we played the first time, it's still a good value in Hawaii and Kona.

Great course

Lots of ocean view holes. Moderately difficult but, the greens had been sanded and I wasn't told that when I booked the reservation. I knocked them down on my review. i don't consider that good customer service. Other than that the course is a real gem.

Excellent Experience

Was concerned about some reviews stating poor rental clubs, bad staff, lacking facilities and felt all were far from the truth. Friendly, helpful, accommodating, good shape equipment. Would have loved to play again if there was more time on my vacation. About half the holes with ocean views. Not overly challenging test but incredibly tricky greens. Played as a single in 3 hours during mid morning.
