NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
Signed up for a HOT DEAL time through Golf Now app for $29 per person. All fine until they wanted another $15 PER PERSON for 1 cart! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! For that price at that course should have included the cart. I could have played a 5 star course for $100. Ridiculous! Won’t be going back again this year until they’re prices are more reasonable.
Courses needs a lot of work
A last minute change of plans on labor day and tee time availability led to a round a EH Municipal course. Paired up with a single and a 2some who were pleasant company. The course is in tough shape with the tee boxes, large portions of fairway & rough burned out. Burned out areas were simply too large to play as ground under repair on most holes. Greens were in ok shape, had many spike and pitch marks making it difficult for putts to hold their line. Bunkers were inconsistent, a couple with decent sand others w a thin layer covering hard packed dirt. Layout is quite boring w most holes side by side In a out & back format, little to distinguish many of the holes.
Pleasantly surprised....
I last played here two years ago. The course was not in good shape and resolved to avoid it in the future. So today, my wife makes plans for a last minute vacation with my cousin so I am now free on a Sunday when I usually don't play. East Hartford was the best available option. It was "I need to get out of the house" moment. I was paired with a married couple and a correctional guard who were all great folks to play with. So for the course.. the bunkers had excellent sand in them which was a sore point on the last visit. The greens were in excellent shape. The fairway did have a few bare spots but the drought in CT is partly to blame. You can't get in much trouble here because it is a typical up and down course where most wayward shots end up in the next fairway. Now being a 17 handicap, the course layout was perfect for me though I could imagine that a scratch golfer may find it boring. To finalize, I will come back again soon. I did have a beer and wings in the restaurant afterwards so no complaints there either.
Good pace, grass is beat up badly
Worst grass I’ve played on this year. I know it’s hot but the other locals have much better fairway/green conditions
Fun round
The course was in good shape, fast pace of play and helpful staff.
Working
They are working hard to make this course good and it shows.
Keep up the good work enjoy playing this course.
The round
Love playing with Greg and Karl. Good Guys. Grass was not cut. Greens too dry already. Losing ball on a sunny day and fairway
THE ROUGH
The rough on the course is inconsistent and to high for a municipal course with the ability of the players that play here. The fringes are not wide enough, the rough around the greens and alongside the fairways are much too long for the average people that play here, it is anywhere from 3 to 4 inches high. I hit a ball in the rough on 18 the other day after it was just cut and it took three of us to finally find it but only after we found 3 other balls. We have asked many times to have the rough down to anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 inches so that players can find their balls and not lose it or slow up play. Players want to enjoy themselves and not look for balls or take so long to play.

Putter
Play was quick and the course was in good shape. The traps needed work and some tee boxes. Overall a good day.
Thank you for your review, we hope to see you back here again soon!

Things are a lot better than it was a month ago course is looking good I love this place and the food is good
Always a good deal.
The course is fair, and offers a nice variety. Very walkable, with not as up/down hill as some other courses. For the midweek deals they offer, and location close to the highway, it’s a nice place and easy to get to from anywhere in central CT.
Came back and play today the weather was good fairways are nice and dry hit the ball very well made me feel good I'll be back again
Beautiful Day...Beautiful Course!
Of all the courses I've played i would say this is the most enjoyable to walk! You won't kill yourself while getting some exercise and crafting your golf skills! This course does have some drainage issues in a few areas of the fairways. However, this is the only negative. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape and rolling true and the layout of the course is fantastic. All that and done in 4 hours. What a bargain. .i'll be back!
You must be crazy if you think you can play a 5 star golf course for $44 including cart and if you could, why didn’t you. I guess you don’t play much golf if you think $44 with cart for a weekend is a lot of money. Try finding one cheaper. Let me know where you can find a course for $29 including cart on a weekend. Good luck.
