Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Tee Boxes
Everything was very good at the course except the white tee boxes. Nearly every hole's white tee box was barren without grass and mostly dirt.
Great bang for your buck
I look forward to playing The Woodlands again once the fairways grow in. Played in early spring and conditions were ok/good, but not great. Still, would definitely recommend it for the price and an easy drive from the STL side.
Nice day on the course.
Course was in great shape for the first weekend in march. Fairways were nice and greens were tricky but rolled true. Pace of play was fine and had no waiting on any holes. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Getting beter
The last time I played this course it was in need of some TLC. The grounds crew has been busy and the course is in amazing shape. They are still working on improvements. Keep it up!
Your hard work is showing
This course is shaping up. Some tee boxes are still pretty rough, 6 and 14. The trees are really making 15 difficult off the tee box. However, the fairways and greens are in fine shape. We really like the continued improvements and are considering membership again. Keep up the good work.
Very Slow Play!
Our group of 2 played the first 8 holes in 75 minutes. It took 3 hours 15 minutes for the remaining 10 holes. There were 3 groups waiting on every tee box the rest of the round.
We were wondering if the Pro Shop let groups off the 10th tee box about 12:45 pm?
