Nice track
Course is excellent, mature and challenging tree-lined layout par 70. Though big problem with animals digging up fairways and lack of watering. Could hardly get tees in the ground. A hammer would have helped!
Freeport
very challenging. Good layout. Long from tips. Rain helped burn spots. With lack of rain this course is good. Book a tee time.
Great course
This is the 3rd time I have played this course and each time I enjoy it more. I recommend thus course.
Old school greens and charm
I have always been a fan of the two course architects and this course does not disappoint!! Course has a fair Amount of elevation changes as well as numerous old school original greens. Only disappoint was the bland newer 9th and 18th greens.
Fun course....needs signage.
Fun course. I would like to see more signage. It’s hard to know where to go for the next hole. I will play again when in town!
Fun course
Overall this a fun course to play with large, mature tree-lined fairways. It is a beautiful course and the holes are well maintained. The staff was friendly. I agree with previous comments about it is confusing at times to know where the next hole is located. Conspicuous signs would be helpful.
Great course
Course was in great shape. Played during the heat of the day on a weekday so we had the course to ourselves.
The course
The course is confusing and has very bad directions to next tee just isn’t easy to find if you have never played it and should have better markers for direction to next tee but course overall good
Nice course
It’s a nice course. Tee shots are tight because the trees are close. Some dead spots in the fairways and greens. But over all it is a fun course at a good price.
Golf course was in great shape Would highly recommend
Course had a nice layout
Course is tree lined, puts a premium on driving it in the fairway. Extremely disappointed in the condition of the fairways, most were burned out so even if you were in the fairway you were hitting off dirt. Holes were not marked clearly so it was difficult at times to find the correct tee box. No water or restrooms on the course. The best part of the course were the greens, very good shape and somewhat fast. With a little more work and money could be a much better course.
Nice course, could use a little TLC
Nice course. Nice clubhouse. Nice pro shop. Not many players here for a Saturday, which was surprising and also nice for pace of play. Difficult layout, definitely not recommended for novice players. This appears to be a former country club, and the layout is not typical of public courses. You will experience numerous elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers. The par 3s were very nice, in my opinion, with reachable distances. The fairways are pretty tight in places and lined with mature trees. It really is a pretty course, but conditions were not ideal. It somewhat speaks to a wet Spring this year so far. The bunker sand was quite firm, and the grass was rather long, even on the fairways. If you unfortunately miss the fairway, it can be a challenge to a) find your ball and b) get a club head on it. The friendly staff mentioned some problems with the mowers. We encountered grass clumps from mowing that swallowed even straight shots, which caused a few lost balls. All considered, we would come back, hoping the conditions are a little better.
