Great Golf
This course is challenging. but enough holes that are easy enough for your high handicappers.
The course i played was the links not Nichols Park.
Good Value
The course seems wide open, but there are trees and water that make this a little more difficult. There is sand on the course, but not so much that you hit it on every hole. Will play again as the cost is very reasonable for the condition of the course!
Find better
The course was I'm terrible shape for 38 bucks. I am not cheap when it comes to a round of golf but at 38 bucks you expect it to be in decent shape and it was not. I will say greens were in decent/good shape and the golf carts were decent besides the governor limiting you to 4mph it felt like. Fairways and rough need see and attention! Also sprinklers don't have yardage and the Grint doesn't work there so it's difficult if you don't have a range finder. My advice go to Springfield or Auburn.
Course in great condition
The course was in great condition. We had a fun time on a beautiful day, We will be back again.
Sloowwwww play
My second time playing this course. Great staff and good layout. The tee boxes are beat up but the fairways and greens are in good shape. The whole damper on my round was extremely slow play that wasn’t necessary at all. The foursome in front of me was maybe the slowest I’ve ever had to endure.
Saturday morning on the Links
The Links at Jacksonville is a fantastic course that lets you get a taste of British Isles golf in the heart of the Midwest.
It has challenging greens and strategically placed bunkers on almost every hole. There are also several holes with water that force you to make smart club choices and shot selections.
The clubhouse staff was wonderful and the refreshment selection at the turn was surprisingly robust.
