Situated on Chicago's scenic North Shore, Lake Bluff Golf Club has become a "must-play" destination in the area. First opened in 1968, the course has a classic layout with front and back nines that are very different. The front nine provides a gentle start. The terrain is mostly flat and the holes are straightforward. As you move onto Lake Bluff's back nine there is more up and down and consequently the challenges are greater. Don't get too comfortable on the first half of the golf course because you'll need your wits about you for the second. Trees line the narrow fairways and the tricky greens all slope in one direction or another. Accuracy is essential. Water doesn't come into play but the doglegs and strategically placed bunkers provide plenty of challenges.

It was a fun time.
Very slow pace of play. Enjoyed driving range and practice bunker. First time I played this course and I intend on going back. Great price. I do not iunderstand why some holes are missing ball washers. Thank you, had a great Sunday.
Great service and great layout
Enjoyed a sunny fall day of golfing at Lake Bluff. I was greeted at the counter with keys for my golf cart and a friendly hello Mr Cooley. Enjoyed the course and the Service. I recommend golfing here. Very Challenging and nice greens
Course was in good shape. Played alone and played in 2 hours and 20 min. Awesome. 😊
Dogs were not ready at the turn
Front 9 played well pace was quick although the round took a turn for the worse on the back 9. Waited nearly 20 minutes for a hotdog at the turn as none were prepared until we asked and were met with a lot of blame shifting. It was around 1pm so I’d have expected there to be no problem otherwise I’d have brought my own food. The back 9 was practically a marsh on some holes around the greens and bunkers were more often than not ponds. I was hoping for better conditions considering it had been a number of days since it had last rained. Overall the price was right but something has to be done about the smell emitted by the golf carts. Would play again.
Nice bit challenging course
First time playing Lake Bluff and was pleased with the course. Conditions were good and the greens rolled true. Will be back again.
Fair track for my ability. Played in under 4 hours which is great

Tee time was 20 minutes behind,no food was ready at turn,did have to wait for carts! Coarse was in great condition and had a great time otherwise.
