Horrible
Avoid this place! They’ve let it go. Greens are so damaged, don’t think they have seen water all year. . Barely any grass on them. Tee boxes are dirt. Wouldn’t even play if it was $1
Yikes
Do NOT play this course right now. Normally it is a nice 9 hole course with a few challenges, but not too hard. However.. and it’s a big however, the course is in BRUTAL conditions right now. The tee boxes are grown out, but there are so many divots and spots of dirt that you really don’t notice. The worst part about the course right now are the greens. Torn up like crazy and they poured the green divot repair ALL over every single green. Looks terrible, putts terrible, and it just was not fun to be on the green or even around the green because of the condition. Hopefully they fix it up quick, but for now I am staying away.
Greens
Greens where smooth but not a lot of grass. Course and place was great until hope 8-9 when you have to wait for others to finish.
Greens were covered with maple seeds. Pace of play real slow.
Very walkable
If you have to walk here’s your course.
Tip on number 9 on 2nd n third shot aim right, water on left. Greens are slow. Not much trouble.
Fun Track.......Great Time

19TH HOLE
IF YOUR A CRAFT BEER DRINKER THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!
Great Venue
Course was
Challenging due to the inclement weather we have been experiencing. The fairways were coming together as we played and the greens are much better than in the past.
Staff is awesome keep up the hard work
9 Hole Old School Course
I played Willow Run a few days ago on a beautiful day here in Illinois. I was a single and wanted to walk to get some exercise in. I met up with another golfer who was in a cart. Willow Run just purchased all new carts and they are nice. This is an old course. Conditions were ok...definitely not terrible...definitely not close to perfect. All the signs of a small grounds crew were present...down trees/large piles of brush between some of the fairways, etc. The "stuff" to the left of hole one is in a horrible spot (200+ yards out). You go a little left off the tee on your first hole here and you are losing a ball and/or have an unplayable lie. Not the best first impression for Willow Run (of course I went left into the piles of sticks/down trees, etc.). Greens were long and slow. Fairways were good. Rough a bit high. Their website said the round was going to be $16. I guess that was 2018's rates. Rates were bumped up 19% to $19 a round this year...a bit steep in my opinion for this course. You can play it again for I think $5. I wasn't interested as it took a quite a while to get 9 in. Pace of play was slow. This kind of course probably attracts higher handicap golfers and kids. There was a foursome of ladies in front of my group. Overall...I liked playing this course and will be back. The inside check-in area (with the a couple shelves of golf gear behind the cashier) and bar are something out of the 50's. I want to go back and have a beer(s) at this bar as it looks awesome. Wisconsin supper club-ish.
