Enjoyable Course
I liked the course, but the sand traps needed some work. For that matter, I didn't see a single rack on the entire course.
Wow! Great!
This course is my new favorite, after I finished I couldn't leave and played 18 more, then when I got home booked a hot deal for the next day. This is seriously one of the best experiences I've had on a golf course period. The entire course tee to green was in incredible shape, better than I have seen on $200 a round championship tournament courses. The tee selection makes meaningful changes to the difficulty providing the right challenge for any skill level, It's pretty easy from the white tees, from the green tees a 15 or less handicap will find some good challenges, and from the black tees there are some serious golf holes out here(500 yard par 4, 230 par 3, and a lot of tight tee shots). Pace of play was lightning fast, I played 36 holes in about 5:30! The carts are nice, they have GPS on them if you don't like using an app. Just cant find enough good things to say about Deer Park, cant wait to get back tomorrow.
Fun course
Interesting and challenging layout especially on holes with mature oak trees. Will definitely play again.

Good course that could be great
This course has the land and layout to be a great course. The course plays really well, the carts are great and include gps, and the layout is challenging but approachable. The course is in decent conditions, though the greens need some work. The biggest concern of this course is in the clubhouse. Checking in at the bar makes little sense, has no signs directing you where, and takes a long time. There’s also very expensive food and drinks, which feels wrong for a course. Overall, great course, not a great vibe around it.

Great value course
Cheap rates on Mondays. The course is spectacular. Greens are fast.

Golf cart course map never did work
Course was in great shape. Best greens in the Illinois Valley imo

Maintenance
Carts dirty, no ball washers, little sand in bunkers.

Slow play
Had a reservation and got the okay to start. Signage for first tee was not easy to find. They have electronic course layout but it isn't very user friendly. Started play with no one in front but caught up to next group by third hole. They allowed me to play thru. Next group was not that courteous. Sat behind them 6 holes waiting for them to play. Paid for 18 played 10. No ranger to keep pace of play. Signage for holes is not very good. Probably won't play again since it is a short course. Not very challenging.
