Good Value
Nice course to get in 9 holes. Very friendly staff. The round would be more enjoyable if pace of play is improved, no ranger was present. Even though we walked, we had to wait on every hole and players in front of us had carts with at least a two hole gap in front of them. I would play here more often if pace of play is improved.
Great little gem in southwest
First time to this course, was greed by a friendly staff inside the Clubhouse/bar/office building. Who checked us in, gave us our keys, made our drinks and hot dog.
Practice greens was right by first tee box, after rolling a few putts, we waited right behind the first tee as the 2 groups in front of ours just tee-off. More on that later.
Great little short 9 holes course in great shape. Greens were true, placement and slow/mid pace was perfect for weekend recreation golfers play.
Couple holes are narrow with houses along the entire side where some with just 5 to 10 yards of rough between the house & the fairway.
As mentioned earlier, the couple groups in front of us were very slow even with carts which you don’t typically expect for Weekend AM play. We waited on every shot and took us all most 3 hours to complete the 2500 yards 9 hole course.
Great Course
Great course, challenging for all a must play. Staff is great.
Nice Layout, Terrible Maintenance
The staff is super friendly and kind. The course has an entertaining layout. Plenty of change in elevation, challenging trees, and water hazard placement. I played in late March, so didn’t I expect much. The tee boxes were pretty brutal, poorly maintained, and the greens did not roll nicely.
However a decent spot to spend very little money, rip a quick 9 with beginners learning the game, and head out.
Thanks for your review of Oak Hills. I agree with the wording of your review that our course is very entertaining, has several changes in elevation and water hazards on 5 holes. However, with over 30 inches of snow on the golf course throughout February and most of March, most courses in the area start the season off with greens that cannot be cut and tee boxes that haven't been tended to. Hence, we offer people discounts this time of year because of those factors.
We hope you come out again and see how well kept the facility is during the 'normal golf season.
Thanks again for coming out!
Beautiful Course
Oak Hills is a true gem. The course conditions will blow you away when compared to almost any other 9 hole course. Do not let the extra par 3s turn you off this course is worth playing hands down.
Played this course again and finished the round in 1hr 25 min. Pace of play is better.
