University Park Golf Club
About
University Park Golf Club (formerly known as University Golf Club & Conference Center) boasts one of the most popular championship courses in the Chicagoland area. The golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1962. The original design by Lawrence Packard received an update in 2004 by Greg Martin, but the classic character of the layout still remains. The course wanders across gentle rolling terrain, providing elevated tees and undulating fairways. Water hazards come into play on half the holes, including on the 17th, University Park Golf Club's signature hole. This intimidating par 3 requires a tough carry over water to an elevated green. Miss it and you'll be faced with the nearly impossible task of getting up and down. The difficulty doesn't let up with the final hole, an uphill dogleg par 4 with a sloped, elevated green and water on the right.

Staff friendly
For a few months now I have enjoyed the golfing at U. P. Golf club. My last experience with the staffer at the club house gave me the impression I was annoyance.
He was not at all welcoming to me. And I really didn’t appreciate his attitude towards me. I don’t know if I will return there. For sure not in the near future.
Golfing buddy
Wish I new how to chip
my score would of been lower
SO MUCH BETTER
So glad to see this course make improvements in its groundskeeping. The fairways were nice and the rough was manageable. Glad to see such a beautiful course return to some dignity. Keep up the good work.
New management is terrible
I enjoyed playing this course before the new management took it over. Everyone there was great to talk to, and the environment was welcoming. I’ve played here three times this year, and the people who check you in are not friendly. The course is not in the best shape for them to act like they are doing you a favor.
When we played there in June, they said we had to have the carts in at 7 pm, which didn’t make sense in the summertime. The second time a young guy that checked us in told us since the course was wet, if we drove on the fairway, we would be kicked out. His demeanor was confrontational for no reason. The last time we played there, an older gentleman checked us in and said that even though I paid a convenience fee on GolfNow, I had to pay it again at the course. After showing him my receipt on golf now, he still wanted to charge me the fee. He told me that the only way to avoid this is to call the course to book our tee time. I was already paying $35 to walk, which in my opinion, is too much for a course that is not well kept. Not to mention, calling to book a tee time in 2022 is ridiculous. I will miss playing there, but I will not be returning.
Way better than 2-3 years ago
Two years ago it was unplayable, fairways six inches deep, rough was almost a FOOT deep. Now it is like any other well kept course. I saw four or more mowers operating at all times. It’s worth the green fee.
