Hey, It's a private old school Country Club!
It is private, so you have to play with a member. It is old school with caddies, although I was able to use a cart with a cart chaser, due to a knee that has been acting up on me. Course is very straight forward, which belies it's claim to being a Donald Ross course, even though the evidence indicates that Mr. Ross himself was never on site. Site work appears to have been done by H.S. Colt, which isn't too bad. The course with few exceptions still follows the original 100 year old routing. A strange part of that routing is back to back par 3's, where you finish the front nine with a par 3 and then start the back nine with a par 3 over water. Course conditions were very good, sand was very consistent, though different from what I am used to. The greens were as true as any I played since I had the opportunity to play Shaker Hts. CC in Cleveland over thirty years ago. The rough was not overly penal. If you are given the opportunity to play this private club, go ahead and take advantage of it.
