Tale of Two Nines
Front nine is great. Back nine is goofy target golf and not worth $95 fee. No driving range other then worn out mats into couple nets that are 5 feet away. Greens were fairly beat up for this early in the year. Would only go back if rates come down Staff was very friendly and nice open bar area.
Always great course to play
Great condition and always challenging given the tight fairways and water. Really tests your patient and precision as a golfer.
Thank you for the compliment. We find that the more you play Seven Bridges Golf Club, the easier it gets to manage the course.
Poor scheduling/poor maintenance
Course was extremely rough maintenance wise. Rough was 5-6 inches long. You would lose a ball that was hit anywhere but the fairway, even feet off the fairway because of how long the grass was and the clippings that were left all over. Scheduling was poor. There were multiple tee times with foursomes back to back, leaving double and singles waiting 40+ minutes at each hole. It took the 2 of us 5 hours to play 18 and that was with skipping 2 holes in attempt to finish. We typically play 18 in less than 2.5 hours and move at consistent pace. There was no presence on the course to see that the 2 foursomes were spending 30+ minutes at the tee and teeing off multiple times and than spend 20+ minutes socializing on the green. We attempted to play through multiple times but the patrons ahead of us were unwilling to allow us to. The course could be a beautiful course if better maintained and loved the layout. Our experience was definitely not worth the $85 a round.

Amazing course
This is a top 5 public course (in my opinion) in the Chicago area. As hard as they come, but enjoyed it regardless of score.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Seven Bridges Golf Club.
Love this course
Haven’t played here in a very long time but I must say this course is absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to play. We played on a weekday morning and we were almost alone on the entire course. There was nobody in front or behind us for the entire 18 holes. Looking forward to playing this course very soon again
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Seven Bridges Golf Club.
Seven Bridges
The course layout is difficult but also unique. Lots of water and i think every hole has at least on side OB. Green were very quick. Lots of slope on the greens too. If you are above the hole, its trouble. Staff were really nice and professional. Bunkers were mud, but that is typical for midwest courses.
Great Course
Tough course and a great challenge. Fast greens and many doglegs. Friendly staff and has great outdoor bar and grill. Will be back again for a great challenge again.
Thank you for the review, John! We are so happy you enjoyed the challenge of the course. See you again soon!
Great layout US Open conditions
Due to very thick and deep rough if you are off the fairway even a few yards tough to see or even find your ball so play was 5 + hrs
Still one of the best public tracks in Western Suburbs
This is a tough course. And the front nine and back nine are completely different. Front: traditional parkway, tree lined fairways, undulation and rather small greens. I like that. The back is totally flat, links like and has water everywhere, in comparison. This is not a bad thing but you can ruin your score if you do not think your shots out on the safe side. Overall, the tee boxes, fairways, sand and greens are kept in good shape…and usually one of those is deficient at most other public courses.
Great Layout But Needs Attention
I liked the layout and design of course but course needs some water and tee boxes / range were rough. We played with a member who told us the course is great when all grown in - but it really needs some maintenance attention to tee boxes and range.
I wanted to give higher rating but I expected more.

Great course
Course is very challenging for any level of player. Layout is great. Condition of course and carts is great. GOS in carts work perfect.
Once a very classy course, now in bad disrepair
This course was once a very good course with excellent maintenance. In the past couple of years, the management has been very bad. The cart paths have deteriorated to the extent ( it is full of pot holes and bumps) it is nearly dangerous if you have a back problem. Tee boxes are torn up so bad - they have not seen divot mix in a long time. Fairways have numerous spots where repairs are badly needed. The greens were a joy to putt on but alas, they are patchy and it seems at least three different grass varieties are growing on them, Yes, it is early spring, but no excuse for green conditions to be like this. I cannot recommend this course to a friend, if he pas to pay full price.
Thank you for your feedback. We at Seven Bridges are continually addressing the areas in need of renovation to ensure a safe and enjoyable golfing experience. We will take all of your comments into account when addressing further renovations and improvements.
