Great challenge
Course was in great condition
Was like playing in the Carolina mountains
I've played over a 100 courses & i don't think I'll
Ever play one more challenging
Fast Greens, challenging layout
Course is in overall good shape. Greens were quick. Course is extremely hilly. Not many flat lies. Lots of uphill and downhill shots. Definitely need a range finder or gps to get around the first time.
I will go back for sure, probably wont take anyone that sprays the balls or is a high handicap, would be a long day for them
Only negative was the cart paths, they were very rough and made for a bumpy ride all day.
Very Hilly
Very hilly. Never on level ground. Fun but doubt, I would play again.
Great Spot to play!
Finding an even lie outside the fairway is definitely a challenge. But the course was in great shape and provided a good challenge. Greens were deceptive in speed. The green aeration posed some issues, but I understand the necessity of maintaining them. Definitely will play again.
Disappointed!!!!
Will not consider this course again. Extremely hilly & fairways very sloped. Couldn't find the tee box for #3 hole. Had to ask one of the mowers where it was located. The greens had been aerated and were in a " rough" condition. Putting was very unpredictable. Our 4some had been instructed to tee-off on the front 9. We completed the front 9 by 3:30pm. We were told we couldn't play the back 9 due to an outing that was to start at 4:30pm. The outing was to have a shotgun start from holes 10-18. The starter admitted he had goofed and we should have started our round on the 10th tee vs #1. The day was very hot & humid. Thankfully we had packed a couple of bottles of water. There wasn't any drinking stations on the course.
Hills and More Hills
Very challenging course. Lot of Dog legs. Made you focus a lot. Greens were fast. Great Course...but too many hills for my old legs and that is even with a cart.
One very hilly golf course!
One semi-level hole on course that is #9. The rest of the course is up and down hills and valleys. This is a course you should play with someone who has played it before. The greens were in fantastic shape and fast.
Dearborn course
Course was in great shape, the staff was very friendly and I would play more often if I can. Really enjoy ourselves and had a great meal there at the course.
Fun Round
We had a threesome go out yesterday and we had a fun time. Course was in great shape for February. Greens had a little bit of debris on them but that was just because of how windy it has been the last few weeks. The wind was especially bad yesterday which probably led to that bit of debris. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Greens were pretty true for this time of the year.
The only complaint about the course is the cart path. Extremely choppy and rough in parts.
Their clubhouse next door is very nice. We had a beer before the round in there and it is very, very nice.
Will be back
Played this course yesterday 12/12, yes in December, and it was in overall great shape considering. I will come back next year during the regular season to see it then. Greens were in decent shape, again December, and fairways were also.
worth the drive!
Excellent course that will challenge you, especially the front 9. Great scenery! People are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaints are the cart paths were terrible. Driving on them was a challenge. Almost lost it a couple of times. Had to sit in the middle of the cart so I wouldn't flip. Plus some better signage would be helpful. For example the 11th hole. I drove to where I thought the tee box was only to find out is way back next to the 10th green. Also the 16th and 17th holes tee box was were hard to find.
Well Conditioned Course
This was my second round at Dearborn CC. The course was in very good shape in all respects. The course is very hilly and be prepared for some tricky lies. It's also a tract where it's essential to have experience on a few of the holes. #7 is brutal for the first time player. Have fun on that one!!
Three of the four par 3s are really exceptional holes. Once again, experience is vital in club selection on these.
I played during the week and I could have finished my round in 2 hours had I wanted. The only real issue I had with the course was the condition of the cart paths in certain spots. Take it easy on the downhill paths!
Okay course
we had a good time but there were some issues. It was in the 90's and there was not 1 water stop. We went in at the turn to refill our water bottles and told there was no water so we had to buy several bottle of water. The greens were a little rough but playable. I would go back but would bring a bigger cooler.
Hilly with small greens
Very hilly course with small fast greens. Not very long but accuracy is a must because fairways are very tight. Easy to short side approaches making scrambling more difficult. A very good challenge even though it's a little rough around the edges. Bring your own laser and GPS and drive slowly on the paths.
Challenging course
The course itself is in great condition. Due to the extreme hills it is challenging. Placement off the tee is crucial. Staff were very nice & welcoming. Second time playing here. Would play it again.
Not what you expect
I expected this place to be a little better considering it is a country club. The greens are decent, but everything else is on par with a cheaper end golf course. I didn't care for the layout as a lot of the holes play up and down hills, and the distances on the tees were off for a lot of holes. The cart path is in terrible shape and really bumpy. At a cheaper rate it would be okay, but the $35 my partner and I each paid was not worth it. Also, not much to eat at the turn in the pro shop. I was advised that I could go in the restaurant, but was also told it would take more than a few minutes to get some food. So the only choices for something quick at the turn consisted of candy bars or potato chips. To top it off, a twosome played the tenth hole and jumped right behind us on around hole 15. They stayed right behind us, and you could hear them complaining on the tee and when waiting to hit approach shots, even though we were log jammed behind two foursomes. I informed the pro shop about these people, who were likely members, but he didnt seem to care.
OK for the $14 I paid
First of all the pro staff ,staff, was a husband and wife and they both quit the day prior to us coming and playing. Wasn't a bad course to play at. I was just expecting more being it is a country club. The cart paths looks like they were originals from 1926. Lots of bumps and chunks missing out of them. Greens were in nice shape along with fairways. Yardage had to of been off on a handfull of holes. For instance one par 4 said it was only 350 isn't and was well over 400.
Dearborn Country Club
Very nice and clean golf course and banqet hall clubhouse.
nice course
myself and a friends played this course for the first time had a great day. the staff was very friendly , I didn't wear a collared shirt and they gave me one to wear which was very nice, the greens was fast , but in great shape and I like true greens ,there was some blind shots ,and some small fairways, but that make the course more interesting ,they had large greens excepted for 18,
very challenging
Had a great day and the course was very good. Looking forward to playing again
As a member of DCC ,I had enough of the way members are treated .On 2 consecutive Saturdays the course was closed to members until late in the afternoon when the heat index was 105 .When they have leagues they have tied both of the nine holes to outsiders who are wearing blue jeans and tee shirts. The pool has been filthy the entire season with no golf pro in the pro shop the last 2 years . We will not mention the tennis court .This is one member that will not be returning next year .
