Oldie but a Goodie
I've played Indiana Ridge for years, the course was kept up ok, the fairways were about half brown half green, but that can be expected in August. The greens were in the best shape I've seen since going here, pace of play was quick. All in all, its a good value for the money with how expensive courses are these days. It wouldn't be my "Go-To" Course, but still fun to throw into the mix.
Disappointment
I have played this course several times in the past few years. This time the course was extremely dry, the fairways were not well defined and the ground was hard as a rock. very hard to get decent shots.
Excellent staff
The staff really welcomed us and gave us a lot of good information about peak times and twilight rates for future visits. Very friendly! I’ll definitely be coming back for sure!
Thank you Indian Ridge
Love this course!
The people who operate this golf course really care about it. The greens are in great shape! It is one of my go-to courses to go to because I know it's going to be in great shape. Best bang for your buck! And awesome staff too!
This course could use some love
I have played worse courses, but still for 40 bucks a guy I think it ought to have legitimate fairways. Even after a terrific t shot you have to search in the tall grass for your ball. And the course layout is tough. I'd say a majority of the holes are unmarked or the signs are so worn and beaten down you can't read them. Overall the course had some nice long par 5 holes and a lot of trees. Few sand bunkers next to no water features. I think I'd skip this one in the future.
The worst.
The absolute worst course I have ever played on. I wouldn't pay $10 to play a round here. By far the worst greens I've ever played.
Really good for the price after 3:00
I’m not going to lie and say this is a super amazing course, but a lot of the previous reviews have been unfair, in my opinion. Also, I should note that I’m not sure if booking through the GolfNow app works, some reviews have mentioned issues with booking through the app. I just pay in person.
I first played this course in 2019, and the course wasn’t in the best of shape. It was honestly in pretty rough condition. However, I decided to give it another go this past week, and I went back to even play it again yesterday. I was surprised to see that the course had gotten better since I last played it in 2019, and it was quite an enjoyable experience both times.
For the price, the course is in more than acceptable condition. The greens are good enough to putt on. They’re cut short enough, they’re just a bit bumpy from patches of what I would assume was a fungus problem that the greens haven’t quite recovered from yet, but they’re in acceptable condition.
The course isn’t precisely manicured or anything, but everything is in good enough condition and is by no means unplayable. Fairways are a bit longer than usual, but not quite the length of rough. There’s not a huge difference between fairway and rough and this course is quite forgiving in terms of missing to the left or right, EXCEPT - the greens are small. That’s the reason I love playing this course. To hit GIR, you have to be precise with your irons and wedges. It may not be a super long course, but it’s fun to play and it definitely has some holes that will test your golfing ability.
This course is worth a play, especially after 3:00. The rate gets cheaper ($25 on weekends, $20 on weekdays) and the course usually isn’t super busy either. This is a great place to play a nice, relaxed round. It’s easy enough for a beginner golfer to chase the little white ball around but the greens provide a challenge for the better golfer. Definitely an underrated course, in my opinion
Good basic golf
It's nothing special, but decent value. I wish they would cut the fairways shorter.
