Fun and challenging course.
Copper Creek is a fun layout and generally in good condition. The front (except #9) is wide open and plays long. The back is tighter on a few holes with several very short par 4s. Number 9 is one of the harder holes in the Des Moines area - almost unplayable in dry conditions. A good drive has to skirt the left side of the fairway or the ball will role into the rough or even out of play to the right. The second shot plays from a downhill lie to an uphill green. A five on this long par 4 is a good score.
This course has some challenging holes.

My Go to Course in Des Moines Area
I am not a pro by any stretch of the imagination, but I love golfing this course. It is friendly to the amateur, but yet challenging enough to keep you coming back. The staff has been nothing but friendly every time I have golfed, and they treat everyone equally. No matter if your a par player or a handicap of 20+, I will continue to give this course my business.
Side Note:
There are some dry spots on the course(due to lack of moisture) but if you stay in the fairway you should be fine...=)

My wife and I played the course and was very disappointed with the outdoor latrines, they in repair and not maintained properly, I doubt if we would return.
Over priced, course not in good condition, poor pace of play
Copper Creek is overpriced @ $50 - it looks and feels like a $30 course. I have been told it was once kept in nice condition but that is no longer the case. Pace of play was poor even though a ranger was visible on the course. When my group made the turn there were four groups waiting to tee off - I assume they just showed up and were put off the back since I had not seen them before. We had to wait on every hole. There were also four groups backed up at the 18th tee - at that point we just called it a day and left. All in all a poor experience that I would not recommend to a friend.
Great golf course at a great price!!!
Played the course 06/06/2013 and found it in great shape even after all the rains we have had. Staff was very cordial and wanted us to come back. With the golf now price I don't think you can find a better deal ANYWHERE...

the course is nice but in bad shape
Excited to play and at a great value through Golfnow. Arrived at the course and the staff was not accomodating.
Got on the course and it was in such bad shape could not play 5 holes.
Tee boxes were dirt as well as fareways. Asked why they did not let us know before playing and they should have been ashamed for charging others full price. Their response was to ask why I was asking so many questions and then laughed in my face.
