Good course
It's a nice course to play. I would not pay full price to play here but if you can play for 25-30 dollars than it's worth it. The fairways are in ok shape, the greens are in good shape. The sand is excellent to play out of and the tee boxes are well kept.
Management, Maintenace and Staff
Quail Chase features 27 holes, a driving range, 2 putting greens with a clubhouse that is inviting and warm providing a place to relax and meet up with friends, old and new. Quail Chase offers southern grace, a friendly staff with excellent service. Great cheeseburgers. (Thanks John)
The club house is surrounded by beautiful green rolling fairways, lush greens and tee boxes.
Special thanks to the owners for their LARGE investment and to the management, staff and maintenance for all you do to provide us with an excellent place to relax and enjoy life.
The grass needed cutting
Played there last month and they had just reseeded it but it was in good condition. However, yesterday it was very wet and had not been cut. Too difficult to find your ball in the rough and especially too hard to hit the ball out of the rough. If the fairways had been cut, it would have been in great shape. The grass has come in but it is tall and fuzzy. Very disappointing.
Where is the green?
This is a hilly, attractive course that winds its way through some old growth forest. Saw a wild turkey with 5-6 chicks on 15! On very few holes are you aware of other holes that in any way interfere with play. The most noticeable feature is that because of elevation changes and doglegs thru forest, the green is not visible from the tee box on many holes. Target flags in the fairways are helpful at this point, but for someone playing the course for the first time, it's a guess which side of the fairway to play. The fairways themselves were a disappointment (weather damage?), but the greens were in excellent shape. I appreciated the nine minute tee off intervals which should lead to uninterrupted play, but we found ourselves behind a slow twosome on the back nine. I would play this course again.
Best Deal in the Louisville area
Resprigging of fairways paid off...Bermuda is back and course is in great shape. Carts are off the path but still charging WINTER RATES! $39 with cart for 18 holes. We played in 3:15! Can't beat it. Like Old T'om says, "Go. Play!"
Always Good to Play Quail Chase
Always enjoy Quail Chase.. The Fairways are improving. Enjoyed the course.
Play elsewhere
If cart path only and 3 riding mowers and a large blower are your idea of a "f;un day" this is he place to go. One mower would stop and idle, the others continued in front of and behind as though no players were around. This course (once one of the prime courses in Louisville) is way behind schedule in maintenance. Other courses in the area experienced the same winter and are ready to play with carts at 90 degrees or at least, carts in the rough only. Will not consider this course this season.
QC
good, challenging course, staff not very courteous at all.
Decent for the price.
They were up front about the fairways being respriged because of thebharah winter. Greens were in good shape and rolled true.
Quall Chase minus fairways
They had just punched/stripped the fairways and it was pretty bad. Greens were good but a little slow. Overall liked the layout and shot a 40 on the west course. Scrambled all day, and got up and down. When it's grown in and cleaned up, will be great. It's all lush and green now, just have to wait on the fairways. Overall, I really liked it, and with the golf now discount, can't do any better for the price and quality of the course.
Poor course management continued
After the run in with staff, we decided we would not play Quail Chase again, but then decided to give it another chance. This time the course was fairways were being treated and flooded. We literally placed our ball in the rough to hit our shots because the fairways were a mud hole. The course conditions made for a miserable round. The question I have is if the treatment was needed and you have 27 holes why not shut down one course treat it and then there are still 18 available to play. ThIs time I will stick to my conviction of never playing Quail Chase again.
I can't imagine a run in with the staff at Quail Chase. In my 30 years of playing golf and visiting numerous golf courses the staff at Quail Chase is ranked my top 5. I would have to say that there must of been something that was not clearly communicated to you that caused the confusion.
You might want to rethink your conviction in the very near future. In a few weeks Quail Chase will be the course everyone wants to play.

Muddy mess
The course had just been re-seeded so it was cart path only (no big deal). What we did not know was the sprinklers would be running all day while we played. If you hit your drive down the center of the fairway you were playing out of mud and at least 1" of water. You had to time your fairway shots with the sprinklers so you didn't get soaked. One set popped up and nailed us as we walked up toward the green. The greens were in great shape and the course will be a lot of fun as soon as they are done watering.
Dear Valued Guest,
We apologize for the wet conditions of the fairways during your round Sunday. We have indeed had to re-sprig due to the winter kill of bermuda grass in our region. It was essential to keep it wet around the clock the first week. We have now stopped daytime watering and the grass is doing so well they have actually begun the gruesome task of walk mowing (can't put heavy equipment on them yet) all 33 acres!
It is always our goal for you to have the best experience possible, even in this very difficult time. We have tried through social media, website, clubhouse posting and staff to inform everyone of the conditions and are very sorry that message missed you.
We are improving greatly everyday so we hope you'll give us another opportunity. Please call or check the website for daily conditions.

Under repair
The reason the price is so cheap is that the fairways have been torn up and reseeded. The day we played there was standing water in the fairways and it was basically in playable. Awful. I think once it grows back in it will be very nice but call ahead. This website should note things like that.
Dear Valued Guest,
We regret any bad experience you may have had. Due to the extreme winter kill of Bermuda grass in our region we have unfortunately had to re-sprig our fairways. The sprigs have to stay wet the first few weeks to allow them to grow. We have indeed reduced our rate significantly through this time and have attempted in every way to make sure the golfer is fully informed of the conditions with notice on online booking engines, call in tee times verbally told, website home page notice and articles on progress, e-blasts, postings at the club and even an interview on Inside KY Golf.
We apologize if the conditions didn't make it to you, it is always our desire to make your experience the very best possible. We hope you'll give us another chance as we will be rolling beautifully in the next few weeks!
The course is in very poor condition
The course is in very poor condition. They are reseeding the fairways. There is standing water in the fairways, very muddy and water sprinkler were running non-stop. They have cuts lines into the fairway because of their reseeding. There are many bare stops and the golf ball plugs in the fairway. When hitting out of the fairways your feet sink into the mud. The course in unplayable, we were told that they are reseeding but that didn’t prepare us for what the course condition really was. The true story is the course needs to be closed until the reseeding is done. The water sprinkler made it very hard to play in the fairways. We paid 25 dollars each and we quit after 9 holes, they would only give us a 12.50 rain check each. Stay away until things return to normal if they do this year. By the way the rain check expires in 30 days. There no way the course will be playable in 30 days.
Yes the course has been presented some challenges due to the harsh winter, but hats off to the management, maintenance and staff for doing the right things (reseeding, sprigging, cart path only and roping off wet areas to name a few). Most other courses are not doing anything, but letting nature takes its way and praying that their fairways will come back.
Dear valued customer,
We apologize if you felt that we had not explained the situation with the fairways in a clear manner. An opportunity to go and look at the course should have been offered to you. As for the rain checks, they expire in 90 days for the date of issue. If there is any problem with the expiration date of the rain check you were issued please let us know and we will take care of it.

fairways
fairway were getting some TLC .So this course will be in good shape next month.
will be back as it is a well laid out course
Worst experience ever
They are in middle of having fairways redone. With that's said there wAs no notice of this. It was cart path only do to fairway conditions. We paid on golf now and was forced to play. Was my regular course for 2 years and now I will never return. They knew how bad course was. They should have closed down or given you warning and chance to back out.
Dear valued customer,
We deeply regret your experience due to our having to re-sprig the fairways because of winter kill. We would like to assure you that we have made every attempt to contact and inform our customers of the situation by sending numerous email blasts, putting explanations and photos on our web site and Facebook, attempting to explain when people call and informing our e-tee time providers of the current situation. We have allowed golfers to go out on to the course to look things over prior to deciding to play, have verified conditions with GolfNow representatives for refunds and have even given refunds at the course to golfers who had not booked through GolfNow. We are sorry if for some reason you felt pressured into playing but we have not forced anyone to play under these conditions.

Quail Chase way ahead...
Recently played a couple of other course with Bermuda fairway...they were bare dirt because of the tough winter. Quail is ahead of the game, re-seeded earlier in the year and re-sprigging now. Conditions are good and getting better every day. Plus they are discounting during the resprig process.
27 Holes of Golf
Thanks to the management and staff for enforcing the cart path only at the beginning of the year in order to get the fairways seeded and growing. The greens are at the top of any course. All courses with Bermuda grass took a hit this winter, but the owners are putting forth the initiate and I am sure LOTs of money to ensure that this course will be above par shortly. The facilities have been remodeled and the landscaping adds a welcoming ambience. I have not encountered a friendlier staff.
Great Courses
Played all three courses (27 holes). The greens are in excellent condition (holding but fast enough for a challenge). Fairways had been hit hard during the winter, but the owners are on top of it. The fairway's were seeded a month or so ago and just recently sprigged with new Bermuda. Hats off to the maintenance crew and staff. I believe this is the best customer service that I have encountered at any golf course. The restroom facilities and kitchen area received an upgrade and the landscaping outside provides a peaceful welcoming.
Dear Valued Guest,
Your experience at Quail is extremely important to us and we want to assure you we take your feedback seriously.
This winter has been brutal on courses with bermuda grass in our region. With an over $80,000 investment to bring our fairways back our crew has worked tirelessly and we are thrilled to say we are OFF cart paths and coming back strong!
Hope to see you soon!
