Leavenworth Golf Club

Absolutely nothing about this course can receive good remarks. It is borderline unayable in the current condition. Fairways as thick as a first cut should be. Crab grass and clover cover most of the course.

Head to tshotz or top golf if no other courses have available tee times. This course is an affront to the game of golf.

Showed up for a 1:42 tee time didn’t get on the first tee until 2:45 because of no carts. Also no coolers for beverages purchased. Pace of play was terrible. Would never go back again.

They were out of carts for a 9:50 tee time. Out of golf balls. No cigars. Out of most beer. Majority of golf carts were pulled off to the side out of service. Jam packed full of tee times though. Overbooked and under supported.

The golf course needs a lot of work. Grass was terrible, greens were too thick, fairways were rough on several holes.

The greens are in pretty good shape overall. The course is in rough shape but the layout is very fun. There are some nice layout holes yet the holes are stacked next to each other so it’s favorable for those less accurate. Also has really nice mature trees. The value is great if you wanted to get out and have a fun round.

Pace of play was good. Tricky, shorter course which requires thoughtful play. You need to position your shots. This is a GreatLife course which means it is largely neglected and needs water. We played a Par 3 that had a backhoe in operation laying pipe. You had to play around personnel, which is fine.

Obviously I booked my tee time through golf now, price was supposed to be 26 dollars per person. They try charging 38 a piece after telling us we can’t play the whole back nine due to construction so we had to either play the front twice or play a random three holes. So before we even leave the clubhouse they had two strikes. Then we get to hole ones tee box. Group of 5 old men are playing a scramble, I have never seen a golf course allow 5 out at once, and on top of that there were 4 other carts all waiting to play hole one. It was a disaster.

The course gas 4 holes on the back nine unplayable due to construction. Due to all the trees, large parts of the course including lots of the fairways were deep in leaves. Hate to loose balls in the fairway. That is common here in the mid west, but charging for 18 holes when you have a 14 hole course???

The green's were very good, fairways,and rough were good,tees were mostly good a few bad spots. Overall I was pleasantly surprised.

Decent course for the value. Layout is pretty easy. Easy to walk this course! Has few areas that could benefit from better signage. Need to have a GPS or range finder as this course could use fairway distance markers. Not much difference in the distances between tee boxes for various skill/age levels. Tee boxes also could use some grass work. This is a Great Life course and has a pool and a fitness center, both of which are rather decent. Sparse offerings in the Clubhouse.

The fairways were good but the tee boxes and the greens fringes have A LOT to be desired. Very little, if any, maintenance is done around the tee boxes and the greens fringes a lot of dead spots and I did see some crab grass around some. If someone asks me if I would play there again I would say no but would tell them if they wanted to experience this course, for the experience, then that would be the only way I would It. recommend

The title of Country Club is very generous. The greens are in good shape. The fairways are in ok shape. The tee boxes are in bad shape. There are dirt spots and weeds everywhere. The rough was like a hayfield. It is well worth the $15.00, but I can’t recommend it to anyone unless it’s your last $15.00.
