Blind shots and needs some work
The front 9 of OCCC has at least 5 holes with blind shots - 3 to greens and 2 off of the tee. I'm sure that it gets better if you play there all of the time, but for a first-time player it becomes very tiring. Couple that with the ant hills covering several of the tee boxes, the course was not exactly inviting. #9 is a very picturesque hole to end the front 9 on, but other than that I would not recommend playing this course if you have other options.
Great value for the money!
The greens were in great shape. Rolling true and a little quick. The course is in great shape overall. Fairways are nice and wooded areas are cleared to keep pace of play good. Rough is a little high at times, so be sure to watch your ball (if your there). Course plays well from the blues, so no need to move up unless you are short knocker (6200 from blues). Two long holes over 400 but rest are ok. Par 5's are fair and reachable for longer hitters.
not a bad day...
other than the fact that there was a group of 7 (members) playing together several holes ahead of us, it was a great day of golf. As you can guess, the front 9 we played in about an hour and forty-five minutes...the back nine, well, not so much...almost 3 hours. That was the only disappointing part of the day...the course was in really good shape for early in the season!!
Flat greens with poana
need to address the poana in the greens! Just your average sleepy little golf course. Always a fun time.
Great Course
Oldham County is in great shape for post winter/ pre summer play.
Greens are running good.
I've never been disappointed with Oldham and play there 3-4 times a month.
The course is challenging but fair.
The speed of the greens was about a 12. Some of the greens required rolling. Maybe the preceding cold weather hampered maintenance. Should improve as the warmer weather takes hold.
nice rolling hills
great course well maintained can be very challenging depending on tee boxes but great for all abilities
Great course, with friendly staff
Oldham county GC seems to always be in great shape. Only thing they could do to improve, is move the course closer to my house! Great course, and friendly staff!
Anxious for better weather
Mid March round. Course in great shape for time of year. Will be back when things green up.
