Wildcat Course in rough shape
Played 18 on the wildcat course on 9/15/22. We got a “hot deal” which made it only $23 or so for 18 and a cart which is the only reason I’ve provided as many stars as I did. Clubhouse is dated, but ok. Staff didn’t leave an impression, bartender was helpful.
The course was in really poor shape. The greens were fine but the “fairways” were bad. I put fairways in quotes because, honestly, you’d be in better position to hit from the first cut of the rough. Most of the fairways were bare or weeds. A brand new ball could be pured down the middle and when you get to it you have to improve your lie because it’s covered in mud and below the surrounding weeds. The rough was ok, but a lot of Bermuda grass that would hide your ball for one, and grab your club in the swing on the off chance you could actually find it. Mowing must be done when it’s exceptionally high as well because there is lots of obvious dead grass from mowing around. Greens were in decent shape and played fast. Tee boxes were fine as well.
Pace of play was great. Our twosome never had to wait and no one was ever waiting on us. This is to be expected though for a 12:45 tee time in the middle of the week.
No beverage carts, but as I said the bartender was good at the turn.
If I had paid full price I would have been disgusted with the course conditions but at $23 all-in, it was “ok.”
Absolutely awful course lol
Honestly if ur in the lex area I would rather play medowbrook and have to walk then play here I have played courses in Las Vegas that didn’t even have grass and they played better Also if u do play don’t play with balls that are expensive there is nothing but tall grass everywhere it’s about 50/50 even if u hit the fairway u will find it
Up and coming fairways!
This course just reopened after extensive repairs to the fairways. They aren't great yet, but will be awesome next year!!
no good
made a time on golf now for the big blue course. got to the course only to see there was a junior tourney going on. i was then assigned to play wildcat course. i got to the 1st tee and there were two groups waiting on the tee!!! two foursomes and they had not even teed off yet. This hasn't been the 1st time this has happened at this course. there seems to be no spacing between tee times. The group in front suggested I start on 10 tee and I did that. my round on the back was around 2 hours which is fine being behind some foursomes. Then I get to number 1 with finally no one on tee. I almost hit my drive and a guy says what are you doing. He said they had a tourney getting ready to start. I was not told any of this by the pro shop and just decided to leave. The course was not in good shape. The greens were smooth but had lots of unfixed areas. The fairways were fine. The rough was extremely patchy. Wont be back.
4th of July Weekend
Got our tee time on Golf Now and was actually able to play a little early. Course is challenging and fun. Will be back soon.
Great Course!
Really enjoyed the course! Course was in great condition. Pace of play was the only issue. The front 9 took right at 2 hours, which is fine, but the back took over 3. Not sure what happened there but overall good experience! I plan to play there again.
Course was cool
Good course but expensive cart path is beat up really bad greens are decent condition fairways was okay overall not a bad experience but not worth going back for.
Best course in town
Best course in town by a landslide. Course was in great shape, greens were a little fast. Other than the wind coming into play on #14, best round in the last few months.
Really terrible shape
We were told in pro shop before round that course was in pretty good shape. Compared to what - a dirt field? Won’t play here again - very disappointed.
